We are very similar, just alternating the two older ones doing Independant work while the middle two work with me and then they switch. And it all balances on the two toddlers attitudes 😅

I love the binder organization! I used a pocket folder last year and well, that was a mess. lol I also like rhythms in homeschooling and not really scheduling a specific time.

How many lessons do you do for your younger two? For G&B LA and math are you doing three lessons a week? Handwriting a page a day or more? Do you ever just get the full lesson done or just stick to the pages that are due for that day only?
@GraceandGrit2 жыл бұрын
We do one entire lesson for everything. With tgatb La 4 days a week. Math 5
@vrod20862 жыл бұрын
First time trying to homeschool, you use tgatb for LA and math. What do you use for history?

Thanks for sharing! When do your kids typically do their daily chores? Is it a first-thing or throughout the day when they choose? Have you ever compensated or rewarded them for chores? I want to instill more work ethic in my kids and think this would be a good way. Have you shared your kids chores before? I’m not new, just don’t see every post :) Thanks so much for the inspiration!
@GraceandGrit2 жыл бұрын
Before we start school and no compensation. Their lifestyle is the compensation 😂

Thank you, Ashlee! 😊 What will your olders be doing while you do the BFB lessons and also what will the youngers do while you do Apologetics? (i usually lose my olders to "get done" with their independent work) thanks!!!!

For your youngers, do you do multiple lessons for science and history per day? I really want to alternate the 2 but I feel like it’s almost more difficult for me personally when I do that vs doing 1 lesson of both every day. (Using Sonlight) I’m doing a 4 day schedule this year and we are doing TGATB safety unit, alternating birds unit on Fridays. (I have a science lover)
@GraceandGrit2 жыл бұрын
No I just do one a day.

@KW-bj5jp2 жыл бұрын
What program do you use to make your daily schedules?! I am not great at making those types of things; but love the layout and wanted to try and see what I could come up with. Also how do you go about checking off what you do each day so you visually see that its been done? I get overwhelmed so quickly. Thank you for the video! These always help and motivate me to get my ducks in a row!

I see your daughter is doing 3rd year BJU Spanish. Mine hated BJU Spanish 1 last year and begged me not to make her do Spanish 2 through BJU. Did your daughter find Spanish two to be better than Spanish 1? I know they have a different teacher in 2.
@amp66242 жыл бұрын
We struggled with Spanish 1, too 🙁

We’ve loved it but yes different teacher. You can go on the website and see who the teacher is
