This is the true Gospel. I thank and praise God his patience with me in coming to this understanding at age 54 after having been in church and hearing the wrong gospel all my life. I came to convinced belief when it hit me Jesus' work in his obedience to his father's demand was fulfilled, accepted by God and received. His proclamation "It is Finished" drove it home. Just believe (trust) without doubting in Christ's finished work.

It's such a breath of fresh air to hear this. The briliant light and beauty of the true gospel is being eclipsed by the confused teachings and theologies of most churches and seminaries today. It's also dope that you get eschatology correct as well, because that is also an extremely misunderstood area in many churches.

@Pastor Grace community fellowship So many Christians believe in Grace + good works = Salvation. The question: are they the same as unbeliever and will go to hell if they're not repent (metanoia=change of mind to believe in Jesus Christ alone for Salvation) because you can not mix Grace and works =Salvation. They're not saved. If we didn't receive it for free, we can't receive it, because that is unbelief in the Gospel, and it is faith in the Gospel of Jesus Christ that is the power unto salvation. It's an insult to Christ to try to pay for the gift He has given. Besides, even at our best, our works aren't worth two cents toward the price Jesus paid. Wouldn't you be insulted if you gave someone ten billion dollars and they tried to give back two cents? If not insulting, it is laughable.

I think it depends on what you call on the Lord for and know that He answered your prayer. It may not be initially for salvation if obedience to the gospel was not included in why you called upon Him, but at least a recognition that Jesus is the only One from whom our help comes. That may open the door (ask , seek, knock - Mat 7:7, Luke 11:9,John 10:7) to the Lord sending someone when the time is right to hear the full gospel and believe. Which is how it happened for me 7 years later. During those 7 years the Lord prepared my doubting heart as I began to see the Lord working in my life - until the day I heard the full gospel, changed my mind and believed. I could then truly say "Lord I believe help thou my unbelief" (Mark 9:24) and thank Him for forgiving my sins and saving me.

How does prayer to God take away any focus from Jesus and believing in Him? When someone believes that Jesus is Savior and Lord they do so from the heart and confess it with their mouth. They receive the gift of God with gratitude knowing that God gave them the power to become children of God. Prayer is communicating with God and can be done in the heart, mind, and mouth. Ultimately, God knows who has truly believed in Him and who is still relying on their own righteousness. Also when a person transfers their trust from themselves to the Savior, the person is repenting of sin (unbelief) which is what has plagued humanity since the fall. Are repentance and belief synonymous? Does the Bible teach that people are saved without turning away from sin and turning to God? God calls people to repent all throughout Scripture making His appeal to all to be reconciled to Him. Repentance is not a work, it is a change of mind that is followed by acting in accordance with that change. God wants us to trust that He alone saves and His way is truth and life to all who believe.
