Imagine going to math class and there's 4 empty seats for the rest of the year. It's really unsettling if you have the actual numbers of covid rates and then covid deaths and look up the countries by population (and states, and cities) and realize that basically the entire population of Ireland or Alabama died just from covid. It's distressing also because last time I looked up the numbers to make that comparison, it was Liberia and Louisiana instead.

Happy, mostly healthy years, too. A medical condition doesn't mean you would die at the same time anyway, and it doesn't mean you don't deserve a shot at life, it makes me so angry when others discount their lives and how much they mean to us with "well they were old and ill anyway". She made everyone around her smile, and made friends wherever she went. The world was robbed of an amazing grandmother, mother, aunt, friend and human being. She lived with us and caught it in Hospital, she should have been safe too but they moved her to another ward and she caught it due to their incompetence. There was even an incident where a clearly mentally ill person, not a patient, got in and was shouting at her- it was hours before she was removed. Visitors weren't allowed, at all- this never should have happened. It's possible she caught it from her. I just...I'm so angry they didn't even have basic security and she was tormented like this. The miscommunication to us, as well- we were told "we have a duty of care" so assumed it was a patient! We asked what about the duty of care to our family member? They didn't respond. It was actually the security guard's girlfriend- at least, according to her. Could have been a stereotypical crazy ex.

His attitude that "it's only old people who die" really disgusts me. It's not like they just die peacefully in their beds. It's painful, brutal, and many hospitals won't even let your loved one be at your side when you die there. That's exactly how my great aunt died--with her husband forced to stay on the other side of the room. She was 91, but still very healthy otherwise. She deserved so, so much better. We think she got it from when she had to go to the hospital for a fractured leg a few weeks prior. I don't know anyone who hasn't lost someone to this disease. Making a video like this right now isn't being edgy, it's heartless. I didn't even bother to watch the livestream because already the video was complete BS. It wasn't straight up misinformation but misrepresentation. I was still able to forgive him, holding on to the faint hope that maybe he was just careless, but apparently he's not only a moron, but a heartless moron. Thank God it wasn't in the main video. Still, the stream is troubling. The fact that he's more or less encouraging his (mostly young) fanbase not to get vaccinated is legitimately dangerous. as someone who is 21 years old and chronically ill, i love how he just blows off the deaths of people like me. also, the 2% is mostly a big deal because this is such a highly contagious disease (which is what Hwl., the commenter above me, also fails to realize). if it wasnt as contagious, i would think that argument might stand a chance. but the truth is, this is one of the most highly infectious diseases we've ever seen, and the US is full of people with underlying health conditions. if 2% of the US dies, thats kind of a big deal. especially when you consider that the more people get infected, the more overrun our hospitals are- which leads to that % increasing. more than 2% will die if they cant get a hospital bed. and we also have to consider that medical professionals are also having a small exodus over the vaccine and other issues. there are just so many details he is omitting.

The thing that pisses me off about the “2%” mortality rate is that; that’s the mortality rate for the first infection. Unlike with the Flu where you might catch it once every 4-6months you can catch COVID-19 once everyone month and a half- that is a month or less than for your lungs to heal from the last infection as opposed to 4 months at least for the Flu. The damage COVID-19 does to your lungs as well can be quite incredulous, if the virus spreads through to too many parts of your lungs you may as well have been smoking. Hence the mortality rate rises depending on the amount of times you obtain the infection.

DarkViperAU recently did a good (altough somewhat ranty) video on this topic. In a nutshell, GradeA is assuming that the reality we live in with the precautions in place would've been the same as the reality where we had done nothing. A simple (altough somewhat exaggerated) example is this: Current science says that a giant world-ending asteroid/meteor is in collision course with earth. People, naturally, freak out and spends trillions building rockets to either redirect it's course or blow it up. Hooray! We succeeded! However, one dude (GradeA) stands out of the crowd and claims this was all pointless, using the fact that we are alive as an argument. Not taking into account that the reason the meteor didn't hit us was because of those rockets and trillions Altough, a more reasonable perspective would come from a group of scientists from a space agency (i.e NASA) who are using more accurate data since we got so close to said meteor. They claim that according to their data and simulations, the meteor would've completly missed. In this case, top-class scientists are using data and simulations as their argument that we wasted money. Aight, that's it. Typed om phone, English not my number one.

Covid nurse here. What people continuously fail to recognise in my mind is there are worse things than death. Hear me out. The toll that covid continues to take on your entire healthcare system is intolerable. I’ve watched people wait hours for a bed for real medical concerns due to understaffing/overcrowding. We have extreme burn out, we have people passing when it was possible for recovery if we had resources. I’ve watched all ages struggle to breath, if you’ve ever had a serious respiratory infection you know the levels of anxiety and pain that come with it. I’ve watched too many people break down because they gave someone who didn’t survive it. Consider it is more than one number. Be safe 💕

His new video made me realize that I was just a stupid kid when I started watching youtube and reminds me of the early to mid 2010's cringe comps, anti sjw, edge lord days that as a lot of us have aged we outgrew. Sure this stuff still exists, but its not the same. Ppl dont care about genders and "cringe" and hating political correctness like we used to. Ppl either became super radicalized in hating these things which lead to bigger ideas (alt right pipeline) or they realized its stupid to be mad that ppl like to be call "they/them" and got some empathy and dont care anymore. We seem more "sensitive" because we realized a lot of this stuff doesnt hurt anyone and makes ppl happy. In the 2020 especially, even mildly empathic ppl realized how ridiculous this world is and the chaos behind the scenes and realized that we have bigger problems than not getting the point of a gender neutral bathroom. We cant get housing, the job market is a mess, our mental health is broken. And what? You want me to hate on a 14 year old in ohio eho started hormone treatment? Yeah no. We grew up. Im over it. Fine im overly sensitive, whatever. At least i don't waste my time hating abstract concepts and what to make something of my life and the lives of others on this doomed planet. Jesus.

My cousin and high school friend are both nurses and they have told me about the lives in the ICU. It's traumatic and losing people to covid is absolutely devastating to them. One of them said, we are supposed to save lives but I feel like I'm losing my own. I lost a family member. Not to covid but during the pandemic and I couldn't even go see her or be with her. So it makes me think of all the families who were not there to be with their loved ones in the hospital or to see them a final time. So knowing Grade has this stance on the pandemic. It's no wonder he got close to Keemstar.

I hate videos like Grade’s. it stinks of; “I’ve never lost any loved ones or friends from COVID”. This disease is no joke, I’ve lost 16 people from my life this year. I’ve been to 8 funerals since the end of July. People like him saying all this wrong stuff so confidently gets people killed. And yeah, a good many of the people I know that have passed have been older, or had some kind of condition that exasperated their COVID. However, that doesn’t mean it was totally fine and cool that they died. These people have families and friends that grieve the loss. Don’t even get me started n the hospital situation. My dad recently had a heart attack (he’s okay now, but recovering) and my mom had to drive almost an hour to a hospital that had an available bed. Sorry for the rant, it’s been a tough year.

This is such a thing to say when you don't have empathy and never had the virus. I had it. I had pre stroke symptoms and my taste and smell completely changed over night. And while that was going on, my husband I'd married a month before was in the hospital in critical condition and had to be sent home with oxygen once it wasn't critical. I tried to take a run the other day and my lungs are still burning from the attempt. It'll have been a year next month since I had it. @@Handwritinghelp I didn't say 7 billion people got covid? But there are 7 billion people on earth who could possibly get covid and die from it. Sure there are factors that make it more likely or unlikely but essentially everyone can get it. To say 'only 2% dies from covid' reminds me of when people said 'only 1% of the earth's population is asexual' to make it seem like a really small number to make us seem insignificant. That 1% however are so much more people than you'd think. The same with the 2%. I'm not saying 7 billion people got covid I was just making clear how big of a number 2% really is especially when you're talking about deaths.
