The east is not gonna have that many injuries (hopefully) and I think teams like the knicks, phili, Milwaukee, or maybe even pacers (that series was closer than any other series Boston was a part of). ​@@xoirvinn im a celtics fan and i think we are gonna walk to the finals again!!! there is like 1 other team in the east that exists and its the knicks, and im convinced the knicks are a science experiment to put a bunch of injury prone guys under the iron gauntlet of tibbs. if they are healthy the knicks match up well positionally to the celtics outside of 90% of their offense coming from brunson who is gonna be guarded by the best defensive backcourt in the league. Bucks have fallen off massively and they were trading playoff series with the celtics back and forth when they were at their peak, Pacers are a competitive team but not a true contender, and the sixers just wagered probably the best chance they will have for embiid to push for a title on a guy who does podcasts and just sends a life sized decoy anytime hes supposed to show up in the playoffs

I do think Mavericks are gonna repeat as West champs. That defense destroyed my Wolves. I never imagined an NBA team would have that many dunks against our lengthy defenders. Going into the finals, I know their non corner threes would be a problem against Boston who denies corner threes the most. They fixed that with Thompson, Naji, and Grimes (Luka and Kyrie are also good non corner 3 PT shooters) and they still have that suffocating interior D and IMHO better perimeter and POA defenders this time. That team gonna be scary next season.

Me personally, I think the Suns will surprise a lot of people. Last season they were contenders at the beginning but they were disappointing and now I feel like everyone is kind of disrespecting them which is deserved because they got swept, but I think they will be way better than last year. There are some quantifiable reasons for people to be high on the grizzlies but I have them hovering around the 5 seed in the west, not top 3 like some people. I think Denver is still above them as well

OKC is a great team, but not better than the Mavs. Both teams improved in the off season and I would argue the Mavs did more to improve their team (the Mavs also overcame a lot of injuries, shook up their roster at the deadline, were only 7 games back and beat OKC 4-1 in the second round)! Mavs are better thank OKC last year and I wouldn’t be surprised if they are ahead of OKC in the standings this season!

They got rid of josh giddey. Caruso is a great defender and might be better than he was on the lakers. Ihart is a center(they only had chet essentially). Personally I think the champions should always be the immediate favorites. HOWEVER, the east got better, the thunder are probably still at least top 3 in the west, the nuggets are falling. Playoffs are about matchups, and last year was their first year in the playoffs. I think having them as championship contenders is easily true.

As much as I would like to see the Raptors improve this year, if we aren't going to make the playoffs then I would rather just lose as many games as possible and join the capture the flagg tier. This Core has potential to it, but I don't think that it is Championship potential. Luka healthy mops the floor with the thunder, just go watch them play in March when they stood no chance guarding him and the mavs won by 33.

Nuggets have question marks with Murray's health. If he's available in the playoffs, then they have a good chance. If not, they'll struggle like every year when Murray is injured. Mavs seems to still be a predictable offense. Unless Klay has a second prime, I would predict 2nd round or wcf exist again (either okc or timbs beating them). Their finals run was incredible, but I believe last year was their chance. I also think the Kings are a dark horse with sabonis taking another leap He's been wildly underrated

Both teams did get better this offseason, but OKC still seems to lack playoff experience while the Mavs have more of that. Wouldn’t be surprised if Dallas knocks OKC out of the playoffs again for that soul reason again. Both are gonna be interesting to watch next season say the less.

Both teams definitely did get better this offseason, but Dallas I think is still better because of having more veterans and playoff experience than OkC. Still rather take them than OKC next year in the playoffs unless OKC proves to be a better team in the playoffs than Dallas, but I don’t see that happening until next season’s playoffs if they succeed those expectations. Dallas over OKC for that sole reason rn.

At WORST they improved on the margins. Klay is way better than THJ who could barely hit the side of a barn the 2nd half of the season + in the playoffs barely got minutes. And a full season with their trade deadline moves from last year. West is tough, but the Mavs are EASILY top 5 if not higher barring injuries.

@@4FrogsStacked could definitely see it happening since his only coaching experience is with little kids and not at an NBA level and that’s a huge level coaching experience for him there. Not to mention but since he never won a chip like Steve Kerr or Jason Kidd did when they played in the league, I don’t see how he can contribute to being the one to save the Lakers when he’s never won a finals that makes those former players know what their roles in the league were and how they can coach others in the league to fill their shoes and other roles to win a chip. Only reason I see him getting a job as a Lakers HC is because of Lebron since he acts more as a GM than a player to me over there. I don’t see Lakers seeing another playoffs either his ass around. Too much drama over there anyways that stopped any free agents from signing over there. All that Bronny star treatment makes that franchise look like a Hollywood reality TV show that I think it’s only gonna drag the Lakers down, and honestly Lebrons time in the league may as well just be done for next season because he’s not winning a 5th ring, not with how the Lakers are handling their team this offseason, so safe to say they’re done for.
