The issue is that you were only analyzing the cards with a black light. That's only useful for detecting possible edge/corner wear. Even for edge/corner wear, you should still be using a magnifying glass/jeweler's loupe. The UV light is for final inspection to verify. For surface, you still need a traditional halogen with a magnifying glass from different angles to see any potential surface scratches (or roller marks) or dimples that a UV light won't pick up.

I have a Charizard delta species electric and Blastioes ex holon phantoms love the cards but they are maybe a 4-5 graded maybe even lower 😂😭they would be worth so much more in good condition

It’s cool to see someone other then me using the black light method it really does help looking for damages!! You can also use this for your psa graded cards the label has hidden black light psa letters along the top edge of the label. On the back side the psa Lettering on the left side will have tiny black light letters all around the label. This is to help ensure authenticity I always check my psa slabs as I’m very paranoid now a days with counterfeits so prevalent!!!

If you want a card graded for your collection just have it graded if you are looking to make money be more selective and examine the card carefully

Hello Leonhart, I haven't really been involved with Pokemon since the late 90s early 2000s. I Foster two adults with disabilities who are both Pokemon Fanatics and collect cards. As the pandemic and lockdowns have progressed we've been trying to find things to do to keep the boys entertained. my gold star charizrd for only a pet, I kept it in the original booster as a kid since 2006, and moved so much it's incredible shape given I never sleeved it for 15 years, only a dent, the holo is really fragile
