Laws and homeschooling vary from state to state. Some have lots of options and some have very few but all states allow it in some form or another. My state, California, has 3 options for homeschooling. 1. Homeschooling by a private tutor. This is the student being taught by someone with a valid California teaching credential. It may be a parent. They must be taught to California standards, at least 3 hours a day and 175 days a year. This is closest to what most people think of as homeschooling. 2. Homeshooling with a private school satellite program. Essentially a private or charter school works with the parents on the curriculum and the majority of the education is done at home, but not all. My sister did this through a charter school. They gave her options for a curriculum and offered to help her create her own if she desired. She was able to get $6000/year in funding for for first child and lesser amount for her second for field trips, materials and extracurriculars. Once a month a licenced teacher stopped by the house to check in and ensure everything was going well and maintaining pace. 3. Homeshooling as a home based private school. This is essentially someone running the household as a school. This is the most difficult and has by far the most requirements and responsibilities since you're taking care of other peoples children. In addition to this, since covid there have been several programs for k-12 education online. This is not usually considered homeschool by the state as all education is provided by licenced teachers over the internet but it is essentially homeschooling.

The cost of the insurance comes out of your pay and when you visit a hospital, there is often a deductable. The difference is it's optional and the expense is not based off wages so someone working a low paying job might have to get state assistance in order to have insurance

VAT (Value Added Tax) is often higher, in many cases more than twice the rate of the highest sales tax rates in the USA. Sales tax is set by states and a few have no sales tax. Cities and counties can add some margin of sales tax to the state sales tax for things in their jurisdiction. This is why the rate varies so much throughout the USA. Despite this, in the USA it is rare to have a sales tax of more than 8%. Yet in Europe it is common to have a VAT that is 20%. It may seem easier but most Americans can estimate a simple sales tax for the item they are buying. More importantly we notice when the tax goes up. An easy rule of thumb is just to add 10%, an estimate that most people can do quickly in their head, and you know the approximate price. For example; if you are looking at a TV for $459 and the sales tax in the area is 8.1% you don't need to figure it to the cent. Just estimate ~10%, about $45 in tax. So you will need ~$500. The actual tax when you get to the register is just $37.18 making the final price $496.18. Now we do have one thing that has something similar to a VAT and that is our fuel. The price displayed at the pump has the excise taxes: federal $0.18/gal for gasoline - $0.24/gal for diesel, state $0.494(WA) $0.60 (CA), and local fuel taxes (if any) added in, plus the local sales tax (if any) also added automatically and that can be another $0.24 for a $3 base price making the final price of a $3 gallon of gas $3.93/gal in WA. That ends up being a 31% VAT. Yet most people could not tell you what amount of the per gallon price is tax even though the tax is often right there on the pump in a sticker or sometimes in a digital display because the rate changes so often. Because people do not take note of this tax they also do not notice when it goes up. They do notice when the price of gas increases but not that it was the tax causing the increase. As a result this has become a popular place for local politicians to add taxes to fund projects. Politicians have even gotten good at hiding tax increases here by having them "phase-in" when the price of gas drops. This causes the pump price to remain the same and the public does not even notice the new tax increase.

If you have a steady job at most work places, your employer usually provides a comprehensive health insurance policy where the employer pays about 70% of the cost and the employee pays about 30%, although in the U.S. there are expensive deductibles ($500- $3000) that the employee has to pay. So if you're working you generally have paid for health insurance .. but if you're between jobs then you won't be covered except possibly by Medicaid or Cobra.

There is national public healthcare in the US, It is called Medicaid and Medicare, as well as state level public health care. In my state, Kansas, we have KanCare. It is simply a matter of qualifying for it. Also, even if you can't afford life saving care, you can still receive it. If you arrive to an emergency room with a gunshot wound or a stab wound, they are required by law to treat you. Even if you do manage to get covered by Medicare or Medicaid, there often are gaps in what is covered. So, your whole hospital bill may not be paid in totality. Medicare is for the elderly, medicaid is for the poor or disabled

On healthcare: In the U.S. we have to pay for insurance and insurance is very expensive. The average cost of insurance is $343 a month and insurance only pays for part of your care. Every visit you normally have a premium of $20-$50 and if something bad happens you can go into debt. My family had an incident where someone was in a motorcycle accident and the bill ended up being a half a million dollars for 3 months of care. Also keep in mind that insurance is usually tied to your job and if it isn’t then you likely pay over $600 per month for moderately good insurance, if you leave your job, now you don’t have insurance

No such thing as free education or health insurance. Those living in Europe and Canada pay three to four times higher taxes and this is why their after tax take home pay is so much lower than even the lower end of the income scale in America. America's healthcare leads in technological advances and providing access to healthcare to millions of people including many immigrants. Unlike most Europeans and Canadians, patients are seen quickly especially for those going to emergency rooms that are manned 24/7. One of the most effective ways to control populations is to control access to healthcare.

A. Tipping is only necessary in places that are actually a 'service' place, like restaurants, bars, and the like. not fast food places, coffee places (Starbucks), other places that make food or items. Some people tip others (like the mail carrier for example). while this isn't normal, you can do it. OR you can get them a small gift for Christmas. again not common, but some do. My rule is that if I'm standing to place an order, I'm not tipping (except bars as they are designed this way and tipping a bartender can get quick service and they won't screw up you drinks). Additional, I advise tipping hotel concierge, as they can be extremely helpful and even get you stuff not normally available. They are the best friend you didn't know you needed. Also you barber/hair stylist, as they might give you a bad cut next time... B. the 'common' rate is around 20%, but this is my upper limit. if there is any bad service, I start taking away from that and it gets lower as the service gets worse. Additionally, I never blame the server for a mistake that the kitchen did. I just ask them nicely to have it fixed. BUT, I do adjust the tip based on how they deal with getting the food corrected. If they give attitude, then the tip will go down quickly. ALSO, if I have a good experience, I always ask for the manager and let them know that I had a good experience, as they usually only get the complaints from customers. I like to highlight a good server or kitchen service and let the manager know it. I also contact the 'head office' of the place and let them also know about my good experience and point out names of my server and what 'store' they were at. This usually take most people by surprise (including the server as they think they are in trouble whenever I ask for the manager, so I always tell them it's NOT bad). Separately, when the service is HORRIBLE, you can leave 2 pennies. this is an insult to the server and tells them that you are giving them "your two cents" about their horrible service. I've only had to do this twice in my 50 years. And one time I wrote on the table with the ketchup and mustard bottles to tell them how bad we thought the service was, as we sat for over 45 minutes with no service. C. I NEVER tip when the machine asks for a tip as if they did something good enough for a tip, I would have ALREADY given it. D. Some places automatically put a tip on the receipt and I don't do that. I ALWAYS require them to take it off before I pay. Some places will do this on every receipt and some only do it for 'large parties' (like 8+ or 15+ people). in this case, you DO have to pay it as it's usually 'store' policy. but then I just don't tip at the table. E. I ONLY use cash for tips as this gives the server the choice to report it or not. if it's on a card, then it's automatically reported to the IRS. 8:50 Home schoolers here form groups together and have group activities each week. So there is plenty of social activity these days with home schooling. Also, some share teaching responsibilities where one home does maths and another does history, etc. And for sports or gym class they may all meet at a park or local facility. There are a lot of options available these days. Also, all the curriculum and schedules are available online and that makes it easier to come up with lesson plans and books for the kids. 12:00 It is important to note. Even if a person doesn't have money, doctors and hospitals are still required to see you and must treat you if it is something urgent or serious. People would then be billed later and if they can't pay, then it just stays on their record. But if you are from another country and a doctor's office in America has you on their record then they are just going to eat the cost. And medical things, people visiting from other countries are not coming here to have serious and urgent medical emergencies. Foreigners should not be afraid that they would not be cared for.

Drive Through: Las Vegas provides drive-thru weddings. With all the complaints about the US, just remember that we have driven on the moon and operated a “helicopter” on Mars.

I only pay for stuff with cash. My daddy said, "If you don't have the cash for it, then you don't need it." Still, I owe no one a cent.

Actually low income families or individuals get free healthcare from government assistance, it only affects the middle to upper class

19 million Americans have been tossed off Medicaid since 2023. They were thrown to the wolves of the private market.

If you don't make enough money, you get free college and free healthcare. Cost me nothing for college an never pay anything for medical. It took about an 2 hours from showing up to the ER with arm pain to being in a scanner. Would have been quicker but someone else was having a stroke. All free. I have had trouble getting in to neurologist but most things take a week or so. The issue is lower middle class who have to choose insurance or a nicer lifestyle. Many chose things over insurance an it bites them.

In the US you don't need a Master's Degree to homeschool your children.

also though with the healthcare aspect, nobody pays medical bills here, its pretty much you get your healthcare checkup/visit and are expected to pay later..... nobody pays that shit, why should we? they send me medical bills all the time, shit gets ripped up and thrown in the trash.

People with a few young children on a snowy day would absolutely love a drive through anything. Or people that have trouble walking. In America it's that plus days or weeks of 30° to 46° C but you still have to go on with life. Just like car insurance, medical insurance has many options depending upon how much you want to pay. We can have medical insurance that pays for everything, but your monthly bill will be higher. Less expensive plans will have you pay for the first $3,000 (for example) each year. Some people pay $5 for a visit with the doctor. Others pay $70, but their monthly bill is much less. Choosing a plan has much to do with your family and how often they typically go to the hospital. Many jobs offer medical insurance as part of their benefits package. For the employer it attracts better employees that want to keep their job longer. The employer receives an employee that calls in sick less often, and stays on the job longer. Each State has their own National Guard, and Air National Guard. Like the military reserve they serve one weekend a month, and two weeks during the summer. They can be called up by the Governor of each State in case of a major weather related disaster or other state of emergency. They can also be called up by the President, and be sent overseas to fight in a war. A National Guard soldier goes to boot camp along side Army and Air Force soldiers. They receive the same basic training. After boot camp they go on to a specialized school to learn their job. A diesel mechanic or helicopter pilot is needed in every State. A rifle man or 105 mm howitzer crew not so much. The video you reacted to had a lot of bad information. I always look forward to your next video.

You can homeschool here in Minnesota but most education in America is governed by the state, except for a few tests that they have the kids do that are required. And every county has a different set up as well in the educational area some have K-12 in the same building and it’s an open platform. Some have three different schools for three different levels of education so depending on where you settle here in America will depend on the education provided for your children and the cost too. I love Minnesota for the educational opportunities and the fact that here in owatonna it’s works too better each student academically like I have learning disabilities, and the learning centers here for people like me are awesome. I had a hard time learning to read and write do to constant ear infections, and having to have surgeries during the time of early phonics and spelling during the first few years of my life in school and they really worked with me with speech therapy and reading and stuff to the point where I jumped from a third grade reading level to a pre-adult reading level within a year so.. and the factor that now they are incorporating advance prep in high school here so it’s basically tone down version of a college level starter course so if you are interested in college you get the feel for want it’s going to be like it’s cool. most schools are trying to work on security and safety for their students and staff. not Every school is going to have the funds to employee security measures, but they do try because the staff does care about your children and their safety on school grounds and we are trying to get students here in owatonna to stop using your phones when they are at school because they distract the students from actually learning and I know parents want their kids to be in contact with them but when they’re learning they need to have those devices put away and they need to start learning to write things down. Do to texting culture with lol and brb it’s not proper English, and the English teachers are struggling teaching English because of all this shortening of words here Owatonna saw a academic decline since the pandemic in scores in reading and basic knowledge, so we have to start figuring out how to get kids back on track. But I think all states and country are doing what they can to make schools safe and a great place to education kids.

Parents in America are certainly permitted to discipline their children and that includes spanking. Parents are not permitted to beat their children causing bodily harm or injury, and that is what the laws are for. Also, regarding cash vs. credit/debit cards. Most retailers would rather accept credit or debit cards instead of cash. Cash is vulnerable, and subject to pilferage, loss, theft, etc. Accepting cards eliminates that.
