Hehe, eccentric is the perfect word! This is something that is still being nailed down by linguists, in fact there was a whole dissertation written about Modern Greek accentuation a couple of years ago!

Ross, I’m thrilled to hear that these videos are helping you. Duolingo, Babbel and other such apps are great for learning vocabulary, but unfortunately they aren’t enough to teach things like grammar and syntax.
