sometime it's very confused in reading. I don't know which is present continue, gerunds, and participle.........because sometime all three of those have to be verbs in them too.......so if I see a continuing verb with to be in writing, that must be present continue or not teacher??? or it can be gerunds or participle???

Your questions are great but there is not enough space here to answer them. But the short answer is you need to see the context of the sentence to understand properly which it is.

Hello, Andrew. I read a sentence on a book. "You're always forgetting my name. "
@charliekind30007 жыл бұрын
Also, you said that 'forget' can't be used in present continuous in video... T.T....
@mapleleafesl61627 жыл бұрын
Charlie KiNd, thanks for the comment. In order to give emphasis to something, a lot of verbs are occasionally spoken in the continuous tense. 'Forget' is sometimes used in this way. 'I'm always forgetting my keys' means that it's an action I'm repeatedly forgetting to to do. Other stative verbs might sometimes be used in a similar way.

Dear friend! The point is that is this case your are talking about “forgetting” as a repeating (and often annoying) action. In this case it’s appropriate to use continuous forms of so-called “stative verbs”. I think the Andrew’s channel is the best and the most comprehensive on KZbin especially in subtle nuances of English Advanced grammar.

Thanks, Joao! I don't think I've made that one but it's a good idea for the future. Cheers.
