Accurate and reliable grammar-checking tools are essential in every writer, student, and business owner’s life. You can check if your writing contains issues like passive voice, wordy sentences, and plagiarism within seconds.
That's why I've been playing around with several different spell checkers over the last few months. I bought, tested, and reviewed multiple proofreaders, and some are worth it while others aren't.
Recently I started using LanguageTool. It's easy to use, accurate, and checks for many issues that other proofreaders don't. So I had to compare it to my favorite writing assistant, Grammarly. After buying, testing, and comparing both tools, I'll share my results with you. In this video, I'll cover the benefits of LanguageTool vs. Grammarly and compare them using set criteria.

I've been testing several grammar checkers and found that the languagetool editor allows you to create "new text" which appears to be stored online. You can make the text permanent or temporary. I do not see a way to delete the "new text" objects listed on the left-hand side of the editor. There is a recycle bin, so there must be some way of deleting these files. I'm using the web-based version of languagetool. Does anyone know how to delete the "new text" objects?

Have you done any videos going further on the style guide features of tools like these? I was wondering .. what happens when you "import a style guide"? Does it need to be in a certain compatible format, or does it use AI to determine your intention regardless of how it was written in the guide? Also...once you upload the guide, I imagine there is a way to edit and fine tune what has been uploaded? Any further insight on this would be much appreciated!
