Clicked on the video when it was uploaded 2h ago, watched like 10 minutes, told myself i'd watch the rest in one sitting later on, now I'm here after a couple of bad things happening in life and then at around the 20 minute mark I get asked how I'm doing. Honestly, not good. But you achieved your goal Dove, the video has been serving as a good distraction from everything, and you actually pausing the video in the middle just to check in on the people watching definitely made me cheer up a bit. I think that in terms of guides, IGN tends to do a fairly decent job. Back when I did GT4 and 3 I used their guides as well, and they did their job. I think the problems mostly come after building some experience, as you might realize some of the recommendations weren't really that good, or even outright terrible, but for a newcomer who doesn't want to figure every single thing out for themselves during their first playthrough and wants a sure-fire way of doing things, they largely get the job done. It's the reviews where it's become increasingly more difficult to take them serious, though, but the same holds true for similar outlets and editorials, too, like Kotaku, who have become a parody of themselves. Nowadays, if you want to play something, just do it and make up your own mind about it, it's almost as if they haven't even played the damn thing themselves sometimes (or cannot maintain objectivity and overcome their very obvious biases).

For reference: The Hot Rod competition in the NTSC-U version is called the "Muscle Car Competition" in PAL, with the Muscle Car Competition in NTSC-U being called the "Old Muscle Car Competition" in PAL. So whilst IGN is partly correct... it's affected by the cross-region renaming of certain events.

Man, this takes me back to the days when I was a kid using guides in websites like Gamewinners to help me get past difficult levels in games like Prince of Persia Warrior Within. Also an interesting look back at a time when IGN wasn't completely terrible. I think I said a g27 wheel can't be used on ps5 ps4 the time you streamed 24hours nurburgring and an adapter is expensive. I found out about the gimx adapter and made one myself for $9 and it works. Makes driving on ps4 so much more enjoyable. Hope you find it helpful.

Here comes a hot take, do the Capri-Rally (Easy) twice with the lancer you bought, than sell one of the won cars and tune the other with the money you earned, then win Yosemite-Rally (Hard) with the tuned Toyota, use the Suzuki Escudu to win another Toyota RCS Rally Raid car, tune the Suzuki Escudo for every race possible and get some other cars that you like for example the RX-7 and the Shelby cobra to win the events where the Suzuki is locked out of, it´s even possible to do the 24h Nurnburgring Race with the escudo if you want the Formula 1.

You don't need a save editor to get free money in GT4, there are button combo cheat codes to get an instant 10 million.

I was half-right with the guide. It was normie AF, but it was also some of the most expensive nonsense I've seen. The lack of transmission tuning is one thing, but don't even get me started on the nearly non-existant approach of linking cars to multiple events (seriously, an Impreza or an Elise can get so much done!), and then the mythical turbocharged Ford GT... I don't know how I would set up a guide for this game, though. It'd probably end up being 3 different guides to go over everything, one for strictly following to path to the GTWC, one for loosely following it, and one for 100% Game completion. And that's a lot of work.
