I did not know you had a wheel. As someone who was there for the end of the controller run, THIS was the surprise ending
@MuscleCarLover6 ай бұрын
@DoomSlinger They're a great wheel. The only reason I stopped using mine was because I got a G27 after a while
@MuscleCarLover6 ай бұрын
@DoomSlinger It is indeed, just that GT6 has a very binary clutch simulation so it's not as good as it can be in that application
@MuscleCarLover6 ай бұрын
@DoomSlinger The clutch in GT6 is very clunky to work with though. It's fine with low powered vehicles, but with higher powered ones it's a choice of stalling out (actually stalling) or spinning the tyres. You're realistically only missing out on the H shifter. No shame in being clamped to a table by the way, I've been a wheel user since 1998 and never left the desk (it's a sturdy desk however)

Alternate title: playing GT6 as Polyphony intended
@jasonkeyes4745 ай бұрын
Nice racing! I play GT6 almost daily on my PS3; I have a Logitech Driving Force wheel from that era that I use with it. Here is how I have corrected FF understeer into FF glorious-oversteer-straight-into-the-apex-and-then-maximum-acceleration-on-the-exit. As you approach the turn, come off the accelerator, Apply gentle, but firm brakes while steering into the turn. You will feel the car start to understeer. Steer almost a full rotation into the turn, and floor the accelerator. Seriously. You know you got it right when both off your front tire indicators are glowing hot red. You will actually feel the Honda grip the pavement like a sinner gripping a rosary on Sunday. I think this works because I think this is how lift-off oversteer works in FF cars. This occurs when the accelerator is released while the FF is in the middle of a turn, particularly if traveling at highways speeds. Suddenly the weight is shifted away from the front to the rear, ergo suddenly giving the rear wheels a ton of grip, when then suddenly cause the rear end to step out and away from the angle of the FF in the turn. I discovered that if I turn into that moment of understeer, and then give it the beans (May, TOP GEAR), the car utterly smashes through the apex, usually moving a hell of a lot faster than anyone you might be battling. It is seriously good fun that with just a little practice, can make any driver a devastating opponent in their FF car. Oh, and try this in a Mini! Cheers.

You have set your damping extension to maximum, while keeping the springs soft, so you are probably packing your short 125 mm suspension on the grass sections, after which you keep often rolling over at the curb back to the road. But overall, the curbs are there to prevent driving like that..
