@@OzarkGuysFishing I never caught any gar there but seen a few. I caught a Bowfin here on shad one time back in 93'.

My buddies and I landed a 40lb longnose gar from there. We were fishing for catfish using cut bait.

@@OzarkGuysFishing That's huge! The biggest fish I caught here was a big carp, not sure what it weighed but my guess would be 25 -30 LB, caught it on dough balls & corn.

Get right up into the swirl of the current pool by the dam wall, and you're in the honey hole. I pull up 5 to 10lb channels out of there all the time. Good spot to fish.

The big ones hide in the hole, where people jump from.
