Boa got her Warlord status 13 years ago, so it is likely that her predecessor died around that time. Luffy is 19 and I am almost certain that his mother died giving birth to him or very shortly after since Luffy seems to never have known her. But it is also possible that she gave birth to Luffy, returned to Amazon Lily immediately, and died after being away from Dragon for 6 years.

Plot twist: Tritoma didn’t die from love sickness from Dragon, she died of love sickness because because she could not keep her son on the island of women and was forced to choose between her kingdom and her son. In the end she chose her kingdom and was forced to send her newborn son (Luffy) away with his father Dragon. So say Luffy is born, a male born on Amazon Lily, would have to be a secret, like many other things are kept secret on the island. Now let's think of the choices for this mother, who if the sickness is real, could be on deaths door since she is not with Dragon and has no idea where he is, so takes the son with her and travels to where there may be any connection, leading to where we find Luffy as a child, since it could be possible she came upon Garp and swore him to secrecy, and left to her fate either making it back to Amazon Lily and passing. (I mean could put together a crazy story about how she is attacked on her return and ends up finding Ivan who changes her sex to save her and we get Crocomom but we'll save that for another time possibly.) Toritoma is still an incredibly strong choice for Luffys mother. No one ever said these women died instantly of love sickness, and it makes more sense if dragon had a child with her, and she gave up her son due to duties to her people, and holds out for her people as long as she can until she manages to set up a replacement in boa, before succumbing to the love sickness. Kinda like how aces mother managed to keep from birth for 20 freaking months, then passing away in child birth. It fits oda theme of the mother dying young too.

We've slowly had everyone's story in the straws revealed over time. I'm sure Luffys mother will be discussed in time along with Nami's parents. I don't know if we have anything on Franky before his days with Tom and Iceberg, but would like to know. My biggest burn questions that remain for one piece are two things. Who were the original 7 warlords and when did they come into power? Who were the original 4 Yonko and when did the term start being used. My personal head cannon for both, starting with the Warlords. I like to think they started 18 years ago one piece time frame or 2 - 3 years after Roger's execution due to similar uprisings and pirate activity that took place like what happened after Whitebeard died. From there coming up with who's been a warlord would be easy and cool to see. The Yonko part is tougher but my head cannon is that Roger and Rocks essentially created the term. Considering Brooks part in the bar conversation with Reyliegh and only vaguely remembering a rookie pirate by his name. I think pirates weren't as powerful around then not until Roger and Rocks that is. Therefore the original Yonko were Roger, Rocks and two other currently unknown pirates. With Rocks defeat I'd assume Whitebeard took over most of his territory along with Shiki getting some more cannon facts like facing off against Roger a lot by defeating another original Yonko, one of the two unknowns. When Roger became king of the pirates is when Big Mom took over as a Yonko. This is the only part that confuses me a bit in my own head cannon. If either Kaido defeated the last original yonko or if Shiki was captured and Kaido replaced him. Which either means Shanks beat Shiki for the Yonko spot or beat the last Original Yonko. I prefer the W over the original Yonko to aid in scaling Shanks, but don't hate Shanks beating Shiki to help the Marines which is why Sengoku is cool with Shanks as shown by him listening to him at Marineford. Also performing a similar act to his captain when Roger and Garp took down Rocks. Is anyone else interested in the warlords history and the Yonkos like I am? What do yall think of my head cannon?

Again this reminds me of the initial denial of Tobi = Obito from Naruto. This Amazon Lilly Princess is obviously Luffy’s mom.List of reasons below: 1. She looks like a genderbent Luffy just with makeup. 2. Reading comprehension: In the same SBS he revealed the missing princess, he also notes that Kuma can only send people to places Kuma himself has been. The significance of this is because Kuma sent Luffy to Amazon Lilly, a place notorious for not allowing men, yet it's confirmed he's physically been there. Dragon and Kuma are EXTREMELY close, they trust each other with their lives and their secrets. Kuma knows a lot about Dragon and have been nearly everywhere together. He knows Dragon has a son and most likely who was the mother. This implies that the reason Kuma sent Luffy to the Amazon Island is because it has something to do with Dragon. Everything that happened to Luffy on that island may have been happenstance or luck, but for sure the intention of Kuma seemed to be "let me send Luffy to the land of his mother". He may have been hoping that they would recognize that Luffy was a male offspring of their former Princess, but like I said anything after on the island probably happened was good luck regardless and played out in favor of Kuma's goal to aid the straw hats. Not only that, but him talking to Rayleigh beforehand about it all but confirms what he intended to do since all Kuma told him was that he was in the revolutionary army and wanted to help the straw hats BUT he never told Rayleigh where he was sending Luffy. This means that Kuma was at Amazon Lilly and most likely was there with Dragon, one of Kuma's closest confidants. So we're going to use basic logic and reasoning to assume that this princess, who died of love sickness was most likely smitten by Dragon, but the lovesickness that probably killed her was the fact that she couldn't be with Luffy, her new baby boy. 3. Timelines add up (Generation after Garp's, but before Luffy's. So, the empress was of Dragon’s generation) 4. The myth Oda chose to go with matches the description of someone associated with Amazon Lilly Princess. In Hindu mythology, Lord Hanuman, who Oda chose to base Luffy off of, has a mom who had abilities to turn people into stone AND ALSO died of a curse/ illness, while the father of Hanuman was a wind god/storm god. Luffy's parents being Dragon (the wind god) & the missing Amazon Lily Princess (who most likely was the previous owner of Boa's fruit that can turn people into stone) is Oda's way of continuing his blending of mythology into the one piece story. Not an easy connection to make unless you read into mythology of different cultures, and Oda is definitely a well researched man. (And before you ask, yes, Luffy is directly based on Lord Hanuman/Bajrang as well as aspects of Sun Wukong) Misconceptions: “Amazon lily women only birth girls” They most likely send any male offspring off the island to their fathers much like how the Empresses leave the island to survive the lovesickness “Aren’t the Amazon princesses related” No they are all not related and only are chosen by strength and merit. Interesting development if this is indeed Luffy’s mom: The recently revealed amazon lily princess looks like Luffy, but Dragon doesn't look like Luffy or Garp, yet Luffy&Garp look identical. This indirectly implies that women would actually be Garp's daughter. So this means Dragon isn’t actually Garp’s son and is actually his son-in-law, leading many to make a different conclusion about Dragon’s heritage. Could the leader of the revolutionary army be the son of Rocks D. Xebec? In my own opinion, I think so based off their looks alone (from what we see, both Dragon and Rocks have that whole no-eyebrow thing going on and the noses of both men are a dead giveaway. I could go into the whole mythology aspect of relating the two that I believe Oda went about as well but I’ll save that for whoever asks.

Meaning that Amazon Lily, one of the main islands Oda was focused on in the early parts, had important connections even back then that we were just made aware of. For example, Rayleigh was married to a Shakuyaku, a former Amazon lily empress. So using basic logic and reasoning, we can assume that the missing Amazon lily princess would be important to the story regardless if you think she’s Luffy’s mom. Not only that, but SBS details have made their way into the main manga plenty times so your point is very null and void.

Example: “No one person can have two devil fruits!” But I guess I’m ignoring “established rules” for pointing out Blackbeard has 2 devil fruits. Amazon Lilly also doesn’t allow men on their island, yet men have been to their island multiple times. Oda CONSISTENTLY has made dogmas like this to establish the pattern of “rules are made to be broken”. This is truly a matter of reading comprehension with many one piece readers, I understand Oda’s frustration of having to point that out.

It's rarely ever talked about but CP9 never used Soru/Shave to grab the Blueprints of Pluton out of Franky's hands after revealing them. Even Lucii and Kaku, despite the embarrassment of it being in front of them the whole time, never attempted to grab them for seemingly one reason: CP9 was never going to allow Spandam (and Spandine) to have the blueprints as they knew they would have abused their power and used it to blackmail for power. They'd rather see it destroyed than in Spandam's possession.
