This song is dedicated to my 10 year old self. Sorry for all the suffering you had to go through; for all those nights you fell asleep crying asking God to change what you felt; trying to convince you that you had to have a wife, children and pass on surnames even knowing that you would be unhappy. Sorry for not wanting to accept reality and make you wake up with a feeling of guilt and betrayal towards your family. Sorry for silencing yourself and hiding yourself, showing people a mask with a smile when what you really felt was anxiety, depression, fear, anguish, unhappiness... because you didn't understand anything of what was happening. That is why I want to tell you, today, now, at this moment, I am very proud of the people you have become, without fear, flying in Freedom and embracing the essence of the rainbow together with other colleagues. I love you, because from the ashes of pain we have risen like the phoenix and our group, our family, is unstoppable 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️

Thank you for sharing that with me because I really needed that my eyes started watering when you said that you were proud of what I've become I found out I was bisexual when I was 12 and I'm 15 now I'm still a closeted female who doesn't know what to do my whole family thinks I'm straight but I'm not the reason I haven't told them is because my parents are homophobic but at least my sister isn't but I still can't tell her someone give me advice ❤

The pain and suffering this community has went through is uncanny. No matter how many people think we’re fine there’s always been at least 1 time we’ve cried about it. Feeling so lost and forgotten about who we really are. The one step of just telling everyone who we are feels like a foreign dream that can never be reached. No matter how hard we try we can never fully reach it just grasp or brush it. Even when you come out nobody really knows the pain the suffering and the anxiety and depression we went through. I’m so glad you came out, but there’s still a long journey ahead of this. ❤

Staring at my ceilin' Convince myself it's nothin' Pray to God to fix me Feeling guilty havin' thoughts at 12 years old Is mama gonna like this? (Ah-ah) I'm riskin' her of grandkids (ah-ah) Seven years of fighting, and I don't wanna fight no more (ah-ah) So I wanna let it out Wasn't ready then But I'm ready now I want my friends to know me Like, really, really know me I hope this doesn't change things, ooh, yeah They say that boys don't cry But newsflash, that's a lie I don't fit inside your boxes, I can't stop this, no So I'm counting down Unlock my cell And come on out Oh, my, beautiful bliss I'm so foreign to this Tell you what my walls know Here's my first hello Oh, my, such a relief I can be me I don't put on no show It's my first hello (oh) It's my first hello (Oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh) All that I said, all that I did I learned to lock my thoughts up carefully I held my breath, I broke my heart I bit my tongue, it starts to bleed And I, I hope you know that it's not your fault Hope my father understands I'm not any less a man, mmm Oh, my, beautiful bliss I'm so foreign to this Tell you what my walls know Here's my first hello Oh, my, such a relief I can be me I don't put on no show It's my first hello (oh) It's my first hello (Oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh) I wanna let it out Wasn't ready then But I'm ready now

No parent or family should ever turn against their child for being who they feel they're meant to be. As a proud parent of an FTM and an LGBTQ+ therapist, and ally your words hit me in so many ways. Not only for yourself to write this and share your soul not only helps you but so many others. Thank you for sharing your words and life with so many! Never quit spreading your love, spread your words, spread your experiences, trust me even knowing your music helped even just one individual be as brave as yourself you have accomplished so much more than you could ever realize.❤💚💛💙💚💜
