The Turtle wax sheets off a little better. Sheeting off is a better delineator than uniform beads in my opinion. Beads sit there and heat up in the sun. If there are any contaminants or minerals in the water, it will transfer to the paint surface. If the water sheets off, there is no water left on the paint. Just my uneducated opinion.

Have never tried the Turtle Wax product but I did use the 303 Graphene Nano on my truck last Spring. Mind you, I only drive 4,000 a year but truck is not garaged at all. My truck was still beading 1 year later, but I just did the 303 again this weekend.

One key point every reviewer seems to forget here, is real time exposure... Yes! what you're doing in this video makes sense for a one-off video, although not necessarily factual in real world conditions - simply because you're speeding up and skipping the natural process of everyday weather and light exposure (UVL). What many detailers tend to forget (or probably don't understand) is that UV rays break down waxes and other surface protectants over a period of time. So, for example, coating 'A' may not perform as well, compared to coating 'B' over a period of say 3 weeks. Someone needs to try leaving the coatings (real-time weather conditions), say for 2-4 weeks, then run the tests... this is not a real use case or real world wash test(s) for that matter, certainly for the average car owner. I'd love to see someone do tests like this properly, and I'm yet to find one... Heck, I may do it myself!

I use the turtle wax. Awesome product. I’m pretty sure the turtle wax says to start with the base coat (dry method), then maintain with the other 2 methods (wipe off or spray off). At least that’s what I’m doing and it’s fantastic

I live in Southern California. Our cars never see snow, and little rainfall, as such our waxes and detalers last quite a good bit. Our sun here is STRONG, and that more than anything else, kills the products, mostly on the roof and hood.. trunk, while the rest of the car remains well protected. I use the Turtle wax Pro flex once a month as a drying aid, thats well before the top surfaces om my vehicle becomes unprotected. Its the best wax I've used that absolutely makes my passion red paint absolutely POP! My car is 2 years old, and i tried MULTIPLE PRODUCTS, and none made me say WOW! But this one did! The metal flake almost jumps right out of the paint. Done searching, this is THE ONE.

Need to test UV resistance. All of the tests I've seen do the same type of testing, but none to UV. Most of the damage is see on cars is deterioration of the clear coat, likely to UV

As a lifelong Southern California native, 64 years now, you are absolutely correct. You must maintain a good regimen of keeping your vehicle clean and well waxed. Especially, if your vehicle is always outside. My new cars are always parked behind the garage,, because my 58 Cadillac, and my 68 Mustang are IN THE GARAGE!!L LOL. If you do this like I do, you can definitely stave off CLEAR COAT FAILURE for many, many more years. but for the tons of people here that don't, after about 7 years or so, the hoods, roofs and trunk panels are clear coat failed, blotches of rough, white looking mess. Strangely, Toyotas and Hondas suffer clear coat failure faster than other makes.

Next time after rinse off, wipe it dry before testing for beading effect, because some of the soap residue still being left on the surface which effects the hydrophobic properties.

I,ll tell you the overall opinions i get from asking all the utbe guys about stacking...got a lot.two years or so ago most pros were against stacking main reason being differnt products didnt always play nice together.my opinion mnfctrs are now realizing that weekend warriors are going to use other products.it is NOT in their best interest to have consumers calling and complaining especially issues they have no control over.tough buisness ,takes thick skin and good chemistry.i get it,i think most good car care product makers will test their stuff and maybe test their stuff against competitors or on top or mixed.speculation on my part but seems logical.maybe utube car guys should start mixing/ matching products...who knows someone may find a genie in a lamp...helllooo B& R🤔

What is a good topper to create a more warm gloss look? I tried the 303 Graphene on my new 2021 Sierra,..and I feel like it doesn't have the shine/gloss that I am looking for. Griots best in show spray on wax? Something else? I don't want to remove the 303 and start over again, just a topper.

Hi Shawn. The 303 is definitely a robust coating, but we agree with you...not the deep gloss like others. The Best in Show Wax would probably add some depth back. Unfortunately, what you don't want to hear is that the base protection is the best starting point for the most depth and shine. Let us know if the Spray Wax/another topper works out for you. However, the 303 seemed to hold up better. I’d like to see a test done on TW Graphene Flex Wax where you apply it dry and then do maintenance washes every week for a couple months to see how well the coating holds up over time.

If you guys love beading, you should give Meguiars Hybrid Paint coating a shot. It's a real paint coating, and has quite possibly the highest water contact angle I've ever seen. And my comparison is to Fusso Coat and CQuartz UK 3.0. Best of all it's super easy to apply with the aerosol. It's almost as easy as applying these two spray products.

Yes, PH balanced car soap. I would say the Turtle Wax has a better ease of use and will be a continuous protective layer as long as you keep using it. The 303 is a bit harder to install, but pretty durable. Thanks!

@@PureOctaneGarage I actually bought the Turtle Wax Graphene “Max” and the Flex. I will be experimenting. I will do a full decontamination on one of my cars. Apply the Max let it cure for 24hrs then apply the Flex with microfiber pad let it cure for 24hrs and see the result.

But I would lean towards the flex wax only because i would use it as a detailer I like to take the time to spray a little wipe a little pamper it and always have it look fresh and clean and from what i saw the flex wax was slicker. great video guys thanks so much for the info.

Sorry guy's with all the chat you drove me nuts. I watched another vid in a car workshop much more informative they tested 4 different products including the two you showed. But they used different washdowns including chemicals. By the time they finished 303 Graphene was the only one that dispersed the water. the rest the water just laid flat on the car bonnet they used.

I saw on another channel. It says do not use the Turtle Wax Graphne hybrid Spray Wax on plastic or rubber. With the 303, I heard, you have to let it cure 5-10 minutes before you buff it off and for maximum longevity the temperature must be in the high 50 degrees or above when applying it and can be used on all exterior surfaces.

Hi Steven. Turtle Wax states you can use the Hybrid Solutions Pro Graphene Flex Wax on plastics and rubber. Did the other channel state they had a bad outcome with the Flex Wax on plastics? Very curious as one application option is applied as a rinse off, which will definitely get on plastics and inner. As far as the 303 Graphene Nano Spray, you are correct that it needs to haze and application in 50 to 80 degrees F. Thanks for watching!

@@PureOctaneGarage a couple other channels,reviews said" not much left to buff off" i aplied in direct sunlite ,albeit it was not hot out.i found some spotting issues next day.sun ...ehhh maybe,more likely the stuff flashes so fast you miss spots when buffing.my suggestion is do a test hood section in sunlite maybe another with no buff.defy took it right off,no damage.weird looking spots though...couldve been dust or pollen.clueless,not ready to write the stuff off.operator error .🤔

Not a bad video, but both don't seem like all that amazing beaders to me, they well bead but even the garden hose was flooding the panel. For fresh product I would expect more tight beading instead of oblong. I'm kinda disappointed in TW, I love Seal N' Shine, and I love their ceramic hybrid solutions, that's been the best product for me so far, the flex wax just doesn't compare and its 2 times more than Hybrid, and 5 times more than S&S.

Of course 303 will last longer. It’s a true stand alone. Flex is more a drying aid/topper. It can be used as a stand alone but it works better as a topper for TW Max Wax. Enjoy you guys videos!!

@@PureOctaneGarage I really enjoy you guys videos. I have a real world result of the 303 Graphene. I put it on one of my vehicles on Nov 1st last year and that vehicle stays out in the elements 24 hrs a day. As of today the coating has failed. The water just lays on the surface, no beads, no sheeting. So I got 4 months with no toppers applied to it. It also wasn’t slick when after applying it. Very grabby. I will say the gloss was very good especially after a week or so of cure time. There’s way too many products out there better and longer lasting than 303. I have Black Ice from The Last Coat on my car. 8 months in and no signs of weakening.

I have been using 303 Graphene for about a year and a half now on my vehicles. It does the job and holds up well. I really do like it. It’s easy to apply and to takeoff. Never been a fan of Turtle Wax products, even when I was a kid and use them way back then. I also use 303 Protectant and doesn’t leave a shiny residue on my interior like a lot of other products. Great video.

The reason for not allowing the coating to get wet for 24hrs is to let it cure. We always recommend (our personal advice) to try and not expose the vehicle to any elements during this time. Thanks for the question.

We haven't had this graphene product in the UK especially the turtle Wax stuff I've been watching a lot of videos and your videos of interested me I'm coming to the conclusion that this turtle Wax graphene is a bit of a snake oil product one application dry should at least last 4 months Jesus Christ I use soft99 and the bastard will last easy 8 months to a year what's graphene was supposed to be the wonder product keep the test going on this new turtle Wax boys great videos mate

I’m getting a brand new special ordered gladiator in a couple weeks and I’ve never detailed before. Can I do this method? rinse, snow foam, rinse, contact wash, iron remover as a clay mitt lubricant, then rinse, the turtle wax platelets compound then amor shield IX ceramic coating with two coats then a couple days later put this turtle wax hybrid graphene on top of it? Also can you recommend a good polisher for a total amateur that’s only doing his own cars?

Smarter than you :Sounds like a decent plan.maxshine makes great polishers ,good prices.i recomend a 15 mm throw ,i initally purchased a 8 mm , if you have a big vehicle go the 15mm if in your budget get a three inch back plate and some 3" pads for the weird small areas like btwn windows and bumpers just weird small areas. ,stuck now with the 8mm works fine more time though.i,m getting a battery powered now simply because i,m old and joints are beat up so i dont polish my whole Ram at once anyway.my 2 cents.oh yea ,watch that iron decon on black plastic trim...some stain and spot...i know😲apply by hand on a applicator around the plastic.then remove with a wet sponge etc.

@@smarterthanyou2674 there are some tubers with vids on special advice for brand new off the lot treatments.a bit different from mntnce owners.if you have a temp controlled garage you really should consider a actual coating.i recomend ethos or adams .the price difference between ceramic and graphene now is minimal.sorry POG but go to brian at apex and search coatings.he is the best on you tube for primary coating brands,aplication and pricing....or PAAANN the organizer.he,ll probably make you nuts with his eye for step by step ,might be your gig dont know.

Congrats on the new truck. Love the Gladiators. What color did you get? As far as initial new vehicle prep we suggest: rinse, foam (let dwell a few minutes), rinse off, foam again and contact wash, rinse, iron remover application (watch out...this stuff usually smells horrible), rinse off again, dry vehicle, clay bar with detail spray as lubricant, (if you need to polish or compound...insert that step here) then panel prep spray and wipedown, and finally a coating or sealant of your choice.The Turtle Wax will be a great topper to maintain your ceramic coat. As far as polishers, we have had good luck with our Adam's Swirl Killer 15mm, 12mm, and 21mm. (Swirl Killer Micro is on the want list) 15mm is good to get started, but eventually you'll find a need for all of them, HaHa! We have also heard great things about Maxshine polishers, but have yet to use one.

I think they are both snake oil as far as the marketing goes. They just seem to perform similar as whats already out there but with the graphene marketing on the bottles. Would be a good test to put one of these up against something like Reload and see if theres any difference.

Great question Joel. One of the main differences between the two is longevity of application. Turtle Wax Pro Flex Wax will need to be applied more often (continually maintained unless combined with the To the Max Wax) and the 303 Graphene is a one or 2 coat and cured with minimal maintenance boosts needed. Hello. The sealants/ waxes have cured for over 2 weeks. They are not going to contaminate each other. If that was case, the coatings/sealants/waxes would have inconsistent protection every time they are washed.
