The newly appointed Free State Premier, Maqueen Letsoha-Mathae, has announced plans to implement new safety measures following a recent tragic incident.
In 2022, the Free State saw a series of pitbull attacks resulting in the deaths of both children and adults.
SABC News reporter, Makgala Masiteng, is speaking with the family of a Bloemfontein woman who was fatally mauled by four pitbulls on Monday.

What do you expect another person to do, unless it they have a weapon? Very unfortunate. From what I have seen, once those dogs attack, they hardly let go even when being beaten up so it is not easy to help. Videos help to provide evidence.
