Damn! Congrats on the Death and Return of Superman Omnibus. That book sold out so quickly. Hopefully they reprint that again soon so I can get a copy. Might not be the best Superman story but its so historic.

Love your haul videos Omar. That Fourth World Omnibus looks fantastic. Your preview/overview of the Death & Return Of Superman Omnibus inspired me to buy it. Don't fret about having multiple copies of the title. I'm the same way with my Beatles vinyl with multiple pressings of their catalogue. I'm at around 23 copies of "Sgt. Pepper" but they're all different in some way so that's how I justify it lol. Love that Lego Batmobile. You have a wonderful mother-in-law who totally understands you lol. Cheers mate. You all stay safe 😊 PS I have the Death Of Superman 3 times now too. One of those is included in that Eaglemoss DC GN series and the other is a HC with the DVD, Bluray & Digital versions of the "Doomsday" animated movie (which I also already own). Great haul! I read Kingpin Rules a month or two ago. I love those early Punisher stories. This made me want to pick up Ronin. I love everything Frank Miller did back then but I haven't read it yet.

FYI just so you know, you picked up Volume 1 of "Levius/Est", not "Levius". "Levius/Est" is the sequel series to "Levius". "Levius" does have a hardcover, and is where the story begins. So you'll prob want to go back and get that, which is a quick read same great art. THEN jump into Levius/est. Which you have.

Great haul! Got that Baltimore Vol. 2 myself just today, and...the new Spider-Man Miles Morales omni last month. Glad I got that before the current madness started, as JMS Vol. 2 is a no-show here so far. Looking forward to Whedon's Astonishing X-Men next week. (Hopefully!)

Personally, I'm not a fan of pre-Crisis DC either, but damn did the 4th World Omni surprise me. Picked it up on a whim and really dug it. It starts out a little rough since the Jimmy Olsen stories aren't that great but once the New Gods and Mister Miracle start, it really moves. I think you'll enjoy it (even if you only skim the Olsen issues).

Ronin is my favorite DC comic ever. It’s weird sci-fi setting is still as unsettling today, and it’s supporting characters are super interesting. It feels like Tsutomu Nihei was inspired by a lot of the ideas around runaway urban design in Ronin for his manga.

I read Fourth World Omni earlier this year. It’s a bit of a chore honestly, but there is about a half dozen MUST READ issues for any DC fan in that book. So, I don’t regret it and glad I finished it. Great background context for the Infinite and Final crisis events as well. 👍

There is an ad for an Absolute 4th World ,Vol. 1 on Amazon. So you can see Kirby even bigger. The Absolute Ronin looks great. The first issue of that series was beautiful. I`m not a Manga reader but will definitely pick up Levius for the art.

I only own the original death of superman trade so i need to really upgrade and need to buy those dawn of x trades. I love these videos. What story do you prefer knightfall or death of superman. I think knightfall. My haul for march april was amazing Spider-Man epic collection secret of the petrified tablet, maximum carnage, dissolution and rebirth and crisis on infinite earths. Need to pick that Art of Mana book! I was going to import the Japanese version , but they announced the English release (I had picked those FF books in Japanese but was delighted when Dark Horse decide to publish the English version so double dipped as I can't read Japanese ha!) Love me some artbooks and got a nice mix of Japanese and English releases (The japan only Gravity Rush/Daze artbook is probably my favourite alongside the Shin Megami Tensei ones).

Yo Omar I see you are taking the plunge and entering Kirby’s fourth World. 🌀 Just a heads up. If you want the full complete Kirby Fourth World experience I would suggest also buying the Kirby trade paperback called “Super Powers” which has fourth world material not collected in the Omnibus that occurs towards the end of the Fourth World Omnibus and also material that happens shortly after the end of the fourth World Omnibus. Reading order is as Such: :Fourth World Omnibus up-to page 1366 :Then first Super powers 6 part story collected in Super Powers trade. (Basically half the trade) :Then Remainder of Fourth World Omnibus. :Then the remainder of the Super Powers trade,the remainder 6 part story (This story is important as it’s essentially a Kirby sequel to the “Hunger dogs” story at the end of the fourth World Omnibus. I believe a man of your talents will have little trouble finding a trade copy of Kirby’s Super Powers online.. Enjoy 😎👍

I recently started collecting art books related to video games and anime/manga however I have been collecting film related concept art books for years. Since you said you enjoy art books I highly recommend checking them out if you haven’t already. Some good examples are The Art of District 9 from Weta Workshop. The Art And Soul Of Blade Runner 2049, and The Art Of The Matrix which has some astoundingly detailed pencils.
