Thank you Trey. He did a great job and treated these concerts with the utmost reverency. It was obvious he was playing with his heroes. Nobody coulda played that kind of a leadership role in the greatest band of all time. WELL PLAYED TREY.

vauxhall908 - He held back a bit but he still brought the energy. I actually heard people saying he brought too much energy to the band and needed to lay off a bit but Trey will be Trey and he killed it. I think this brought a lot of due respect from dead fans that he never previously had.

I hope this 20 minutes of footage stays around for my great-great-great-great grandchildren to see. Thanks for posting. Let there be songs to fill the air. I danced HARD all weekend, but I think I left a good 5 pounds on that floor after this.

This song was just great . They were on fucking on fire and the crowd, so into it. Never forget. Just listen to them cheer. It was electric and I agree the highlight of all 3 nights. Redman

Trey had the biggest shit-eating grin on his face between verses. It was cool to see. Also love how Bobby gave Trey the cue to continue the jam around the 4:50 mark. He knew things were getting hot. Man, what a great weekend.

Mark Molyneaux Absolutely. I can't name what happened there--call is Love with a capital L--but it was transcendent. As Mickey said, let's try to keep it alive in our day-to-day interactions, to do our best.

amazing lights by, I assume, by longtime lighting director Candace Brightman. She is brilliant and a largely unsung part of the Dead's concert history. . Her best work was actually in the nineties, and now this.

Ryan Paulhamus I'd forgive Hornsby for this. I'm sure it was just an honest mistake. Happens a lot in jam-band type situations. :)

I think Trey really stuck it to the jaded Dead fans that wouldn't give him the time of day when they played this.... I heard so many hardcore Dead fans say "Oh man... I've made a mistake... I need to go see Phish" on this night... it made me smile...
@mbagwell26079 жыл бұрын
Scarlet was to me where Trey established himself as the lead guitar/vocal for the Dead. It started with Bertha and after Scarlet there was not a single Head i talked to that didn't wish Trey would stay forever. I dont know a single Phish song but i think that may change. Trey made a believer of alot of old DHs and I think may have caused two awesome fan bases to meld together. Jerry can never be replaced in our hearts and minds but Trey did a FANTASTIC job replacing him on stage. To those that complained that it wasnt like the old times? well duh... Just enjoy it while it lasts. Lets go on an East Coast tour now....Who's in? Work sucks, lets Tour!!
