Advanced Chute System install and issue on Gravely ZT HD 48

Great video. I'm going to pay for my Gravely ZT HD 48" today and have the dealer deliver it for me. I think the 48" is the perfect size as our gate has a 57" opening. I will still look at the 52" while I'm there, but I think the 48" will suit our needs. Our son has also expressed and interest in starting a lawn cutting business, which means I'll be helping.

I put on an advanced chute sytem blocker ACS6000UBLS for my Arien Icon XL52. Works like a dream. I only had to drill one extra hole for the installation. I used the supplied spacers for the install. Regards Richard Sacco

@@NewVisionLCS I am not a fan because the handle is to small for a walk behind mower. But it is one of the simplest to install

I just bought the Grassflap brand chute blocker because they are foot operated and they come with a plastic deflector to stick between the plate and deck. Why this company doesn't provide that giving how much these things cost is crazy.

@@NewVisionLCS Haven't got to test it out in the field yet because of the rain but operating it in the garage it seems natural since you're hands never leave the handle. Plus if other people use the mower you can feel a little safer knowing they won't have to let go of the handle to open or close it.

Very informative video. Did you have to drill all three holes in the mower deck and how was that? How do you feel about that? And does it have a halfway open position I know it's closed and you can open it all the way but can you open it just halfway? Thank you

Thank you Mark for viewing. Yes I had to drill all three holes. It wasn't a big deal. It does not have a halfway open unless you do two things, hold it halfway manually or tighten the nuts where the flap attaches to the bracket so that it's kinda stiffer to move. You're welcome sir!

Do you mow mainly with it down? If you have it up does that lever get in your way? Thanks for sharing the video it was great

You're welcome! I would mainly mow with it up. The only time you put it down is to keep grass from flying where you don't want it to. For a guy my size 5'5" 220, the handle would be right over my right leg when having the chute open.

I never had any vibration issues whatsoever. The mower performed flawlessly.

I purchased it from my local Gravely dealer. It's called the Advanced Chute System. They are online and on Amazon.

@@michaelmiller6843 yes. You'll still need to get real close areas with a string trimmer if you have some sort of hard edging.
