China is oppressing their own women right now. The 27+ unmarried women are called leftover women, sent to rural areas to marry uneducated men against the will. China cares about lithium and road network, not women. Also there is shortage of women in China, so they might traffick some women, like they are doing with ethnically cleansed women in Xinjiang
