Truly the best presentation of the Graviteam tactics games. Your video presentation style is so good, I think the Dev's should consider promoting your content to the general community. Your ability to weave a sound understanding of the real-life battles into game play is very much appreciated, as are all the tips.

Preciate the kind words. You’ve been supporting for some time now and I really appreciate that! Hopefully in the future we could get the devs to consider that!

Graviteam Tactics are really good Operations level wargames. The interface is a bit cumbersome snd the learning curve is steep but once you get past those 2 issues they are very compelling games.

Very well said. I remember when I started off the game still had that old UI before they revamped it. I definately like it now but it definately isn't the inviting type.

Super fun watch, you’ve been my go to Graviteam KZbinr, at first, I thought that you not having any voice narration was going to be a painful watch, but I was so wrong. By far you’re the most enjoyable mius front KZbinr I know.

Hi there, loving the content and I hope you're not feeling too beat up about losing your Fateful Strike data. You've clearly put a lot of effort into those videos and it really kick-started people's interest in the channel. Looking forward to seeing how this campaign develops and the only criticism that comes to mind is that your written commentary is quite small and sometimes hard to read whilst watching. I can imagine I'm not feeling alone when I've had to pause just to read something. If there's any chance you could bump the font size up? I'd greatly appreciate it as the comments are fun and informative! 😊

Thanks a lot for the comment! I’m keeping in touch with the devs and hopefully it’s still salvageable! Thanks for the feedback also, I’ll keep that in mind for the future.

Voted for furtive spring, but this should be good. 1943 isn't a year that's usually covered... Usually its either 1941 or 1944/5. One of the things that make me like Graviteam at the very least, hope the dev team takes a crack at more modernish war era missions in this system, even if its not really possible.
@Warsimulation19979 ай бұрын

Bought this DLC today and started playing it 3 hours ago. Will be nice to compare how your campaign goes! In this first battle I've deployed my troops behind the town. I happily traded the keypoints for a better firing position. But the Russians just kept coming and in the end their losses were minimal. But there wasn't much I could do and I could at least inflict some damage on them (4 Russian tanks lost!). I do struggle with the mortars though. In 3:33 you show it as if it were easy, haha. My problem was that the mortars simply ignored my "observed fire" command and wasted literally ALL of their ammo on two small Russian infantry guns. Maybe someone higher up in the chain of command overwrote the orders of the firing commander? Who did you make the target order with at 03:35? The firing commander or the platoon commander?
@Warsimulation19979 ай бұрын
Nice! Hope you’re enjoying it! Definately a good move by placing them behind the village, personally I like to put them in front as it forces the Soviets to first fight on open terrain, and if they do end up beating your entrenched units, you always can retreat back into the village and use those houses as cover, making your enemy suffer even more casualties in the village. The major risk of trading the village is if the soviets manage to get in there, they’ll have a good defensive position and as well as a good firing position on your entrenched units. As for mortars: I firstly placed the battery commander in a slightly more risky but advantageous position for better oversight of the battlefield. I placed the cable crew next to him for fluid phone repairs if they get damaged by artillery. The battery commander only acts as a spotter in this case, and below his chain of command is the firing commander, who also had great visibility of the battlefield so it was a win win in this scenario, but I always use the firing commander for placing marks. As long as the firing commander has a stable cable connection, then technically he has the same “view” of the battlefield, as the battery commander. To make sure your mortars use the designated mark. Make sure their vision isn’t entirely obstructed (you should get a prompt telling you why they’re not firing, usually “No FOV” or something along those lines”. Most importantly make sure that he bar is filling up and that it is at least 25%. Then make sure you check “fire control” and “fire at will”. Once you’re done firing, uncheck those buttons. if you want to manually control your artillery that would be the way to go. Hope that helped!
@sunbather15769 ай бұрын
@@Warsimulation1997 Hey there! Thanks for your extensive response. Unfortunately, I am not doing nearly as good as you in this DLC, haha. I happily traded the village and am currently moving my troops back to Bulakhi and build a thorough defense there. Thanks to you and some threads in the Steam discussion forums, I finally managed to get my mortars working! My first mistake was that I treated my firing commander as a spotter but he has to be close to the mortars; the second problem was that I only had the "fire control" checked but NOT the "fire at will". This one was a bit counterintuitive because I precisely did NOT want them to "fire at will" but only on my command. For now, to prevent them from burning through their ammunition within 5 minutes, I now only check "fire at will" when I actually have a fire mission for them or else they target enemies at their own volition (or maybe because they get an automated order from a superior). Anyways, thank you for clearing that up for me! May I make a small suggestion: could you show us the position of your units on the actual 3D map and not only as graphics on the operational map? That would make it a bit easier to understand how your plan looked like. Then again, I really like how you mix combat scenes with tactical overviews!
