At first, i did not know what everyone was talking about with 11:44. But after hearing that minute repeater sound. It is 11:44. So cool to hear it! I like to see more tests like this.

Haha!!! Yeah you and me both! Actually I would be happy with one that cost less than 4 digits lol. I have a Relic auto movement and a Michael Korrs each costing $130 USD. I was initially looking for a kinetic energy watch until I realized that the auto mvmt watches were completely non electronic and kinetic energy watches did have electronic components. I expected to pay at minimum $3-500 USD but then I found these (skeletal style) watches for $130 USD and became a collector of the auto mvmt skeletal style watches!!! Mine are time-only though. I would love to have one with all the bells and whistles and moon phases and day and date and month and year and leap year...did I miss anything? Lmao but not for no $800K out of my own pocket!!!

11:44 - thanks for this great video which helped teach me how to tell time via the audible chimes on minute repeaters. I had wondered this for some time. I'm saving my allowance now! Me want! lol

11:44. A. Lange & Sohne has come out with a minute repeater that does not signal the quarters, only the numbers. 3:21 would be: Three single tones, then 2 double tones, then 1 single tone. 3-2-1, 3:21. Why it took so long to do this I'll never know.
@leyay75405 жыл бұрын
That's called the decimal repeater. The first one decimal repeater wristwatch should be made by Kari Voutilainen.

More Roman numerals as IIII.... why!? The seconds hand is also not moving smoothly, which is disappointing, they could have made it finer and it would be smooth (even for mechanical).
@JerehmiaBoaz8 жыл бұрын
+Jeremy Madsen It's called a watchmaker's four, it's more aesthetically pleasing and cant be mixed up with a six (VI) when viewed from strange angles. The second hand moves to the frequency of the watch movement: in a 3 Hertz movement the second hand takes 6 steps to complete a single second, in a more modern 4 Hz movement the hand takes 8 steps. There are also 5 Hz (Zenith El Primero) and even 10 Hz (Breguet chronometer) movements.
@Player_Review8 жыл бұрын
JerehmiaBoaz Thanks for the explanation. It is only very recently that I've noticed most watchmakers do this and have done so for hundreds of years.
