I never seen a pulley like that before. Thanks for the educational information you share.

Nice, I've worked with these before, the one time I had a real fight with one was on a huge feeder for rolled steel. Turned out it had been slipping and gouged the shaft and collet hub.

I really like these. Funny thing is, I have seen several of my co-workers break them with a puller. They didn't know the puller was already on there!

I bought a used 5 HP motor that had a double groove sheave with one of these locking bushings. I removed the screws and tried to pull it off but I broke part of the sheave. Then I investigated further and saw how to use the alternate holes to get it off. It is a good system. enginuitysystems.com/pix/5HP_Motor_800x600_0560.png

I agree i used to work at a gain elevator/feed mill and Taper Lock pulleys were all we used on motors ranging from 3 HP all the way up to 75hp did not have many fail l don't know the brand name but we also used some that used an allen screw that screwed in between the wedge and the pulley. half of the threads were on the wedge and the other half were on the pulley they worked good but I did not really care for them I much rather have used the Browning style.

Use a screwdriver or a small wedge in the slots of the hub and it will spread and open the bore of the hub and release the hub from the shaft. You don't have to hammer it offer.
@grayfurnaceman7 жыл бұрын
This installation was done on an older, well used pulley that spreading the hub was ineffective. GFM

Any chance you can go through a packed rooftop? Also has anyone asked about the bird before each video lol

The biggest problem with RTUs is I seldom can get one. Will do if I can find one. The bird is a local red hawk I see commonly during my morning walks looking for breakfast. GFM
