This is glorious, I've been looking for "how can i turn my gray hair black naturally?" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Conuhammade Ideological Control - (should be on google have a look ) ? It is an awesome one of a kind guide for discovering how to look and feel younger again without the headache. Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my mate got excellent success with it.

Okay, I know you loved your hair when you colored it because it was what you liked at the time, and I know you like it now. As you said, it's about what each of us likes and what makes ourselves happy. I know you wouldn't decide to keep it natural or go back to coloring because of what I (or anyone) think. With that said, your hair is absolutely gorgeous!!!!! Elisa, I am 59 and you have no idea how much I enjoy your channel. Your message to women is inspiring and I thank you! Oh and your one minute outfits!!! Love them!!!

I appreciate seeing how you use the comb along with it. That is a good way to do it. I've only flat ironed my hair a few times in my entire life so I haven't known too many tricks to it. I just used my hands to get pieces of hair and put through the iron, but this way looks a lot better. I like your hair both ways here - straightened and before you used the iron had a nice look too.

Thanks for making it sexy and fun to be naturally gray and over 40... or more! I get so many complements on my naturally curly gray mane, and I wouldn't try it any other way. I've thought about it often, but I just can't see ME in those other colors or styles. So, for now, I'm being my best self like this, and I love it! Keep rocking the gray, its beautiful on you!

Elisa, I'm transitioning now (almost a year) into my gray hair. I too have natural curl in my hair which gets frizzy when the humidity is high or I have those lovely night sweats! One thing I noticed in my color, and see in yours as well, and hope you don't take this the wrong way....but your bleached area has a green tint to it. When you use BLUE shampoo and it mixes with the YELLOWISH bleached hair--you get GREEN. I use Purple shampoo and that totally took away the greenish hue. Try purple shampoo. If there is a Sally's in Canada you can find purple shampoo CHEAP!

Hi Elisa! I really like the Bumble and Bumble product, too! I also wanted to suggest the IGK Mistress Hydrating Hair Balm to you. I have very coarse hair, as it would be mostly gray if I were to stop coloring, and this makes my hair feel soooo soft! I use the Bumble and Bumble product first and then the Hair Balm afterwards. It's also expensive, but worth it like the invisible oil. I got mine through Sephora, and I believe you can buy the sample size. I'm glad I came across your video- have a great day! 🌷

"Edge control" will get those wiry grow out hairs to sit down and stay, without any added "greasy" look! I'm a curly girl (currently transitioning to my silver hair AND trying to rehab my hair from too much hot tools and dye 😩 ... What a journey I tell you! 😳!) I'm using the Curly Girl Method and its done wonders (not to mention my curls hide the "cap grow out" more than when I wore it straight, for sure! Anyway, your hair is pretty both ways! The edge control I'm using for my little wiry grays and those growing out from hair breakage is "Eden Body Works Coconut Shea Control Edge Glaze." Not super expensive and all good for hair CG approved ingredients (which are good for all hair, not just curly girls!). Just rub your finger tips over it and dab over those pesky stand-ups. Also, I use a soft toothbrush to tame those around my hairline and distribute the product evenly ... works great! Thanks again for another informative video for those pursuing beautiful straight hairstyles Elisa! For me ... I just like you and your style! 😀👍🏻

I love the flat iron, too. I use it a couple times a week. One thing I learned, the hard way, is that a high quality flat iron makes a huge difference in ease of use and results. I have a CHI now that cost about $120. The $30-40 ones aren't worth the aggravation. Rusk products are very good. Temperature control matters, too. Need to use lowest temperature that will work with one's particular hair. Blue Malva and all Aveda products ARE expensive. It is because of the quality of the ingredients. And the big bottle (only size) of the Blue Malva shampoo lasts many months. It would probably last you a year. Batiste dry shampoo is great (better than others - no grainy feel after use) and helps me prolong time between shampoos. That is better for hair, of course. I LOVE your hair straight. My favorite! ♥️
@robjeny83256 жыл бұрын
Also, Aveda Blue Malva shampoo cost $42 in US plus tax. The tax is 8-10% in many places (depends on state and town). So close to $50 for me, too. But it lathers well, so I don't use that much and only one application. Then again, if you are happy with what you are using, and your hair looks FANTASTIC, so why bother with the Aveda?

Elisa in Montreal - I love the Kerastace products and the finishing serum is great for the ends of the hair - but I have not been using a heat product to protect when using the flat iron so the Bumble and Bumble will be something I will get. I'm transitioning to gray, im 2/3 the way there. I've used purple shampoo and I'm finding it makes my hair look darker. My natural color was/is darkest brown/black. The colored portion is dark brown but lighter than my natural color. Do you think it makes your hair darker? My gray is similar to yours, darker in the front hair line lighter around my crown. Super shiny silver in the back. It's seems many women are lighter in the front. So interesting how everyone is so unique.
@elisaberrinigomez29466 жыл бұрын
I only have 1 inch square in the front and it just happens to be smack in the middle where I like to part my hair LOL. But now that my bangs are finally long again I think I will start parting my hair on the side again. As per purple shampoo, I found that if I left the shampoo on my hair instead of rinsing right away my hair looked darker indeed. Purple shampoo is to correct any YELLOW you may have on the white hair. If you do not have any yellow on the white hair simply use regular shampoo. :)

You're so funny! "Girls it's my hair, and I'm going to do what I want to my hair." haha I thought the color that you're wearing was supposed to look not right with silver hair, but it looks great! Pretty robe or blouse or whatever.
@elisaberrinigomez29466 жыл бұрын
Hi Athena. Happy to have made you laugh. Did you get to listen to my message at the end of the video? :) Hence my attitude. As per clothing colour, I get asked all the time what is the best colour for grey hair. I truly believe that each skin and hair tone will determine what works best for one. My mantra is "if what you see reflected in the mirror is the cat's meow FOR YOU then do it!!!" This is a handmade linen kimono made by an artisan from my province Quebec.
@athenaespanol96 жыл бұрын
I apologize in advance -- this is going to be long. :) A. You make linen look like silk. :) Love what looks like a taupe color. B. Yes, I certainly did; I don't skip places on your videos. I'm gonna throw some (indirect) shade: There are some arduous videos. For instance, someone with " ___ minute tips" sometimes run up to a half hour. Your tips are always true to form and your other videos do not lag (content and visuals). C. I know others have commented that they liked your hair prior to flat ironing. I believe you had blow dried your hair first, correct? Because in another video I saw you have quite wavy hair. I have wavy hair and I've always either liked wavy and wild or sleek and straight (nothing in between). I've never liked a blow dry on me as I feel like a news anchor. Too puffy. haha D. What cracked me up the most is the voice you used and the inflection when delivering the my-hair-my-choice statement. ;) I am one week shy of five months virgin hair. Ever since I was young, I always colored my hair for fun, not necessity (e.g., when I saw Madonna's "Like a Prayer" video, then I had to have dark auburn hair). Not until recently did it become a regular 'requirement' due to obvious white roots. I'm a wimp when it comes to handling my hair. I don't have the balls that you do with the bleaching and heat styling. I wish I was more daring like you, because, after all, as important of an accessory as it can be, it IS only hair and damage can be trimmed. I happen to love my hair more and more and more these days. At first I thought I was going to be committing beauty suicide since my hair has always been such a predominant factor in my looks. I was still going to forgo chemicals regardless, but now feel almost too conceited by how much I enjoy my hair. Only thing is that it will probably take four years to be 100% since it's almost to my waist. So far though I even love the mixture of old/new. Thanks for sharing your personality, beauty (you are reminiscent of Sophia Loren to me -- my mom's favorite), attitude, and quality videos.

Excuse, Athena, are you ME? Oh my God we have so much in common. THIS IS WHAT I LOVE about the internet. We get to connect with kindred spirits allover the world ! Thank you for your very interesting response. I am happy that you HEAR me. You made my day, teehee. I also have the same attitude you have about my natural hair. And I am not afraid to be conceited about it because it is sooooo unique! I love how soft it is when I blow dry it. When I dyed it was never soft no matter how many products I put on my dyed hair. Now all I need is a bit of shampoo, heat protectant and boom my hair is silky soft. And yes I do blow dry my curly hair when in the mood and I do not leave it at the blow out stage because I do look like an anchor lady. My children cannot stand me with anchor hair, LOL. I am a jokester in real life and anchor lady hair makes me look to severe and serious. Really not my best look. BUT I do use it when going up to higher authorities because it does have that I no take no bullshit effect. LOL. See? I use beauty. Beauty does not use me ... I am sure you are the same.:)

I'm going to take a page from your playbook and stop feeling guilty for being into my own hair. :) And I already told you before that I created an account here SOLELY to comment on your video. Later, Ms. Elisa.

I was wondering if you are dying the front area of your hair or if it’s just naturally grown dark grey? I’m just starting to try and work out what to do with my hair and your guidance is really helping my confidence in moving forward 😘😘

I love flat irons for dark hair but I hear they’re dangerous for gray hair because it burns easily. Have you noticed any discoloration?
@elisaberrinigomez29464 жыл бұрын
Tarla Makaeff Not on my hair. I have coarse hair. I also use high quality shampoo: Moroccan Oil

I know exactly how you feel with the additional taxes, posting fees 🙄 I live in Australia and EVERYTHING that is beauty and personal care related is double the price, than what I used to be able to get in the US. Now I'm just turning my attention to buying amazing products made in Australia and New Zealand. This adventure is brand new to me but I know it will be cheaper, thats for sure. 😬
@elisaberrinigomez29466 жыл бұрын
Oh but I hear Australian products are amazing! I follow @fashionista_in_suburbia who is an Instagrammer from Sydney, Australia She reviews all sorts of anything on her blog and IG profile. I recommend you check her out for Australian products. She got me to get some myself and I am happy user :)

A hair serum lightly applied over your hair will help those flyaways.

The top has a lot of fly away.. What can you do about that.
@elisaberrinigomez29465 жыл бұрын
I personally do not mind the fly aways so I won't do anything about it. But they are usually there only after recently washed.

I am going to do my little "public message" for the day. Ladies if you have any osteoporosis in your family get a bone scan early. I had a bone scan maybe 5 years ago and I had good bone density. I had mine last week at 57 and I have osteopenia which is bone loss that can move into osteoporosis. I thought I had dodged the bullet with using HRT but no. My grandma and my mom both had osteoporosis even thought they ate pretty well. They recommend to wait until 65 but if I had waited I would have had full blown osteoporosis. It tends to be more prevalent with slender Caucasian and Asian women. I was having some joint pain while trying to go off the HRT but in most cases there are no symptoms until you get osteoporosis.
@elisaberrinigomez29466 жыл бұрын
Ufff this is such an important message dear! I should learn more about it and make a whole video on it Especially since I do have some pain on my knee. I keep putting off the doctor but maybe it's time I set an appointment.

Shampoo and condition....air dry hair. Get a bottle of Vitamin E oil.....apply a moderate amount along the entire length. Give it one hour to sink in. Stop ironing your hair! You are melting it. Mine is 30 inches long and looks great. Good luck .....

Hi Elisa, what temperature is your straightener set at or just on "high"? Looking good😀 Maggie
@elisaberrinigomez29466 жыл бұрын
Maggie Mae Well mine is on hi because my hair is coarse. But one should always test the right temperature on a strand in the back of the head :)
