I was dating this guy who's also a tad too feminine for my taste. He also got a lot of friends that are girls which is really not the kind of guy that would fit in my book. Oh well, as time passed I learned that his parents are working abroad and he and his younger siblings are left in the country. He basically turned into a mother hen fending over his siblings and managing the household. He had a lot of friends in general regardless of gender. Worst date experience was when I dated someone who complimented themselves so much. I was like 16 at the time and everyone had someone so I wanted to fit in and ended up dating this guy from another school. I was super extra to prove that we were a couple even though I wasn’t attracted to him,but he went overboard saying things that weren’t true and when I confronted him, it was his “friends” who said it or it was a “joke” but after going out with him couple of times I met my later to be boyfriend through him. Here’s what happened we would get together and he would not give me the time of day he would go on and on about himself and how he’s such a great athlete and has perfect grades and how awesome his new job was 🤦‍♀️ what did I get myself into? His friend was very nice and we had lot in common and at some point we started hanging out without him and one time he even accused me of “cheating” because I was hanging out with his friend. Let me clear this up he hung out with his female friends without me all the time he went to parties without me but I was never the jealous type also I knew most of the time what he was up to. I ended things with him at a dance after he tried being someone he wasn’t he was trying so hard at the dance and it made so uncomfortable like this isn’t who I went out with but we ended it there and like few months later his friends started contacting me and we started dating but we kept it low key because well I didn’t want anyone in our business and I have matured since my last relationship.

Well relationships are really complicated for me😂😂.. till a certain age (maybe till 15 -16) I was quite scared of this idea of being in a relationship but I too wanted a boyfriend 😂. The problem was I believe in old school romance. 1 love forever and only to that one person I will give my everything and all. So I never tried it because I knew nobody was serious in a relationship. And that's when I entered college and saw that almost everyone had a boyfriend. So I wanted one too, and that's when a guy sent me a friend request in Facebook. He was near by my location, but never met him or saw him. We started talking and he quickly started flirting with me and let me tell you I am really very slow when it comes to understanding such things. I am just a type of person who needs to interact personally with a person to have any kind of feelings for them. So someone flirting in the messenger, i never understood their thinking😌. And then we talked a lot and he suddenly proposed me. But I rejected him saying that I don't know what to do, I just don't think about you in that way and all. So after few more months,my friend urged me to meet him at least once. So I told her okay and decided to meet him near his building,till then I didn't have anything towards him and he always used to flirt with me to make me say yes. I met him and talked to him for a while(as he was in his building so his brother and friends were staring at us😂😂 quiet nosy) so he told me to go back 😂. And I understood the situation and left from there. But after meeting him I felt that he was quiet a nice guy and maybe I should try a relationship (I really wanted to be like my friends who had boyfriends and all because I had a really low self esteem) so even though I didn't have any deep feelings I decided to say yes to him just to be in a relationship. But when I told him that "hey, after meeting you I feel like I can try out to be with you. What do you say?" I was feeling a bit guilty too because somewhere I knew that I am just doing this for the sake of being in trend but I also knew that he was a nice guy so maybe things will work out and I will find my soulmate in him. But his reply made me speechless 😂😂. He said. "Hey, after meeting you today I feel like you are very innocent and nice. Kind and cute,so I don't think this will work out. I don't want to hurt you so let's not be in a relationship" I actually got confused, like you were the one who chased me till now but then when I am coming to you, you are rejecting me saying I am innocent?😂 I mean I feel like he just wanted to be with me for a time pass(for a week or two). So ya it's a good thing I didn't pursue him anymore. But we still keep in touch and laugh about it. P.S. after that he again tried to propose me though saying that he should have said yes. But now I am a lot more mature and understand things more better. So I don't think anyone should be with someone just because of the trend around you. But I am still single thought (╥﹏╥) with zero relationship experiences.

We all had those dates that taught us a lesson, and set the bar for future romances. It sucks how you want to believe everyone is good natured and kind, but many aren't. Its not fair! Because it chews away at your faith in humanity as a whole, you may not think so but it does. Omg the ghosting part is really annoying lol. I hate it when guys are such cowards. If they don't like us, just tell us in the face.. I liked a guy like that,, he is actually very very very nice and friendly towards me. Initially, he would mostly text me back within the next minute whenever i text him. Some time later, he started taking longer. And in my latest text,, we were talking well and he suddenly ghosted me for 6 days and still counting. I snapped. I left him straight in 2020 and deleted my reply. Now, it looked like he was being left on read by me instead, on my device 😌 You are right, don't hold on to something that's never yours 😌

I'm a 25 year old woman and have yet to be in a real relationship. I tried to start dating in 6the grade with a guy friend that I had starting crushing on because he was cute and funny. During 5the grade, we confessed to each other and then he officially asked me out during our first 6the grade social (which was like a super casual class get together after school). I didn't have a cell phone, so the only time we got to talk was during classes. The ONE and ONLY time we planned a date was about a month in and I did all the planning. We were supposed to see a movie together (Eagle Eye). My mom was there to chaperone and thankfully she was because I probably would have been in a lot of danger if she wasn't. I kept waiting for him to come and he never came. So I ended up watching the movie with my mom instead. When I asked him the next school day, he said that he got grounded last minute and couldn't call me to tell me since I didn't have a phone. About a week later he ended up using a mutual friend to tell me that he wanted to break up and never spoke to me again. I honestly don't even think he really "counts" as a real boyfriend because we never even held hands. Is dating really supposed to be this hard?
