Ok just bought a 96 and 95 wave venture and couldn't find anything on gear oil. Thanks for video now I know it's just greased bearings

nice vid thanks! Are you aware if these machines require jet pump nozzle cap oil change like seadoo?

Good video, thanks for showing us, but that book says "Oz.". It's a measure of volume, not weight. note the CM3 next to it... no one weighs grease.

Thanks for the comment, you are right, luckily it's pretty close at such small volumes.

Is that a special grease fitting or just regular?
@striker12113 жыл бұрын
It's a regular zerk fitting.

Oh boy, I seen these grease fittings and just kept pumping grease into them thinking it was empty and figured it would become hard to pump when it was full.. how do you know if you blew a seal? I didn’t hear anything weird happen.. bet I put at least 30 pumps into each one..guess I should’ve KZbind first.. fml

Depending on the measured volume of each pump 30 could be okay. You can use the feeling of back pressure to but you have to be really really careful. If you blew a seal it would be harder to pump for a second then you'd feel it let loose.

I have no power at the White connector that plugs into the start stop box White connecter what do you think it could be?
@striker12112 жыл бұрын
On the 1100 it just says the white goes to the CDI unit i.imgur.com/bz9remh.png . It might be one of the most confusing wiring schematics I've seen in a while. The part number for the service manual is LIT-18616-RA-00, if you google it you can find the PDF on forums.

Hello Striker! Thanks much for your Speedy reply! I have already replaced the Start/Stop Box, (the green start button had fallen off last time we took it out so as a precaution because it was original I replaced it and also put a new starter solenoid in as well)! if I jump to two leads on the solenoid posts the engine will crank! But no power to the white plug that the Start/Stop Box plugs into. I've been through the whole thing and can't find any breaks in the wires? Going to try to locate that manual now!

What happens when you dont do this? Asking for a friend

Some people never lube the starter and have no issues, however I would definitely keep the outdrive bearing lubricated if possible to prevent it from getting water inside of it. The grease not only lubricates and reduces heat, it keeps water out. I didn't do it for 3 years because I was afraid of blowing out the seal but if you just put a few pumps in per the manual every year I belive you'd have to pump pretty hard to damage something. I recommend the Harbor Freight pump in the video if you don't have one. I've had it for 7 years now without issue.

Every 100hrs or 6 months? Mine only has 200 hrs but is 26 years old So I should have done it twice or 52 times Lmao
