Greasy Coat - Clawhammer Banjo

This week Greasy Coat is #banjototw on Instagram, chosen by the amazing Lukas Pool. I first heard this tune on the album 'Debut' by Chance McCoy and the Appalachian Stringband. Definitely check that record out if you haven't already. It features Adam Hurt on banjo and his playing on this album really inspired me to start playing clawhammer.
I play this one on a 14" fretless tackhead made by David Prat in Barcelona. Hope you enjoy!

wow. really nice! can you tell me what kind of strings you're using on that banjo? I made a bass gourd banjo and would like to put those kind of strings on it

Love that soulful sound. Love it that much I too have a 12 in tackhead fretless banjo made by David Prat! Keep up the good work and convert a few more banjo players to adopt this style
