Hi Tony! Wow! What a wonderful day of crabbing you had - lots of nice big ones. I'm happy for you. If my husband and I get to come to Florida some day, I hope we can journey up from the lower gulf side (for shelling) and then see the space coast and head up to Jacksonville area. We would love to go crabbing with you or at least just meet and say hi. On the other hand, if you and the family ever venture out to Washington, let me know! How do you know when it's legal to crab? It's like odd years on one side of Florida, even on the other, during these dates, in these areas. Too many variables for me. 😂

Download the Fish Rules app, but crabbing is legal year round in Florida. Recreational for sure.

Hey Tony, i know this will sound weird but I'm wondering my GF will not handline with me which is where I know to crab, what do you look for when hoop netting cause we keep trying and we do not catch blue crabs nearly ever.

Sounds like there aren't any crabs where your dropping your nets. Hand line by yourself if that works. If there are no crabs...then there are no crabs. Idk.
