I don't know. For me it's a swing and a miss. The thing is, I'm looking for a map with big fields, and square fields. But this is like pandering to my wants without adding in a speck of realism (for me). I mean, it's all laid out in grids for us. It's so square it's ugly. I look for a (mostly) American maps (because I don't like narrow roads and fenced fields that don't allow big machines and most American maps do). A few square fields would be great, other than that I look for a really nice place to build my own farm or a nice existing one and look for a field I can kind of square up, but I don't want it laid out in grids. So much of what I want it looks fake. You could design this map on grid paper....... now for what I don't like about it..... just kidding. I however do appreciate any and all time any modder puts into his/her project and my likes/dislikes are the ramblings of an old stupid man.

PC player? If so you might want to try elmcreek extension. It's a 4x map, you have to get it direct from the author. Just search bauer brown. It is elmcreek in the center but has so much more going on in all directions. It is my favorite fs22 map. I have well over 1000 hours on it.

The map is way too flat to be surrounded by mountains. The number of permanent objects on purchasable land is too high, as is the amount of starting equipment. I don't like it when maps give you way too much starting equipment; building up my fleet from humble beginnings is part of the fun for me. Also, I don't think you mentioned if you start with no equipment on new farmer/farm manager. Some maps give you the starting equipment regardless of which difficulty you select. The giant ugly farmhouse with no sleep trigger and no way of removing it is also a huge miss for me. I think the rivers look really terrible. How is it that two separate rivers are exactly the same width, consistently across their entire length? A lot of space is wasted on the north/northeastern section. I also didn't see too many bridges on that southern river, and no real roads leading you to the southern part of the map. I suppose you could build some. And that perfectly squared-off forestry section is just terrible. What forest grows in a perfect square like that? I suppose you could argue that it's cultivated intentionally, but it just looks wrong. I do like the design aesthetics. The decoration and building placement look and feel good. I give it a 2 / 5. 🌟🌟✴✴✴
