Biggest Mistake in this war is Ottomans has a chance to capture Petro himself, in prut all of his army encircled by Ottoman army, but Baltacı Mehmet Pasha decided to end the war by gaining Azov and some political surpluses. I would have probably tried to cut off supply route by going southwest at 1:47, dividing Poland-Lithuania in two halves, then move on to finish off the western front, then go for Lithuania just like they did historically. Finally, 3:26, I would realize that winter is coming quickly, which makes continental warfare a horrible idea for the attacking forces. I would focus on resupplying and retaking the Baltic states.

the point is that the swedish army was back in strategies and were fighting a war tring to annihilate the russian in one battle, forcing them to surrender, and they annihilate the russian army several times, but while sweden was having problem with recruits and resources, russia had "infinites" resources, the offensive in Ukraine at 3:26, was a desperate one, trying to capture the resources of Ukraine, wich failed, not really because of the winter, but because the Russians won the battle of Poltava

Well a few things Donald Trump . First, this quote is from BEFORE the First World War. Second, I don't think you understand the economies of both countries. Third, Russia isn't without allies either. Although none will be needed for this scenario. Fourth, it might even be possible for Russia to win the war with minimum mobilization seeing how the could destroy Turkey's fleet and air force from a distance and then proceed to pummel it's industry, infrastructure, bases, cities and etc. Fifth, the RF has quite a few spare guns, ammo and such so they wouldn't have to use their foot soldiers all too much. Simply drop those guns where separatists live and arm Erdogan's political adversaries (which are many) and let them fall into the abyss called civil war.

They were, at that point, desperate for food and supplies. They headed for Ukraine in order to find that, but due to the fact that the Russians have a tendency of burning things, nothing was found. They were then easily wiped out by the Russians. However, Sweden was basically dommed in this war, due to the coalition simply being larger and more powerful.

Augustus would probably invade Poland to take back his throne if he saw that the Swedish army marched north to fight the Russians there, if so the Swedes would be back to square one, only with even worse odds. The Swedish army would have to be "feed over seas" since the Baltic was too ravaged by that time to feed bigger armies (meaning the Swedes would have to go on the offensive anyway). I don't think Charles plan of marching towards Moscow was a stupid decision. He didn't want to conquer all of Russia but, like he had done in Poland, create a civil war in there and have Peter dethroned; Peter was already meeting some opposition within Russia and perhaps, if Poltava would've been lost in a decisive fashion for the Russians, he'd soon get dethroned by his own countrymen. Had Sweden been victorious against Russia they'd gain Courland from Poland while Poland would gain lands from Russia that they had lost in the earlier wars.

First, bad English, second Russia and its allies were the ones to declare war for Russian and Polish-Lithuanian ambitions they used the idea the war was to stop Sweden from rising in power but in reality Peter the not so Great who got beat in battle by a 15 year old wanted to establish a new city to trade more in Europe. The King of Sweden Carolous Rex/ Charles the 12th was 15 just a 15 year old boy when these countries declared war on him, and for about 10 years he was winning.

I'm sure Alexander I was moved by realpolitik more than by 'heart'. He and Alexander II knew it was in Russia's best interest to keep the Finns content and as loyal subjects by giving them near independence rather than attempting to russify them which Alexander III and Nicholas II foolishly tried to do turning Finland into the most unreliable and anti-Russian region in the empire and thus a safety risk for St Petersburg and the whole empire come WW1.

Sweden has already colonized Finland and Estonia, then after the war declaration they push further south and eastwards before they are pushed back again, how is that being a victim? Sure the alliance against Sweden declared war, but they might have had their reasons. After the Swedes are pushed back on the eastern side and lose Finland and Estonia they then invade towards Oslo and also takes Trønderlag; seems almost like a revenge mindset; lose the great war in the east then use the left-over forces to bully the neighbors in the west. Mind you, this all happened just decades after they've taken the large Norwegian counties Jemtland and Herjedalen, it happened after they took Skåne from Denmark and played imperialists in Finland, the Baltics and Lappland for centuries. During this conflict Sweden also hired Scottish mercenaries to run through a defenseless Norway ransacking and killing civilians, until they were stopped by gathering peasants. I fail to see how they are the victim. Just the war declaration? You should explain yourself. An imperialistic, expanding force like Sweden was is not a victim. That's like saying Hitler was a victim because Britain and France declared war, and they lost in the end. You look at the context, and it's clear Hitler was the aggressor. And it's also clear Sweden was the aggressor.

I cannot see how the end of their imperialistic attempt in Eastern Europe was them being a victim.
