For recovery the boys, although they may be elite, should really be closer to 7:00-7:10. You can’t burn them out. He should take notes from the coach of Newberry Park. The reason they won was probably better coaching.

@@sorrym8421 but if you burn out before college, you’ll peak too early. There should always be recovery days with a recovery pace. I get they are elite highschool runners, but if you peak in highschool, there will be nothing else to give in college
@sorrym84212 жыл бұрын
@@jeranimo.gaming bro proper recovery days and exercises were implied in my statement. To put in full effort means to also take care of your body to the best of your ability. People don't like ice baths, deep stretches, painfully rolling out your muscles, or eating healthy foods while cutting out unhealthy ones; but those you want to succeed put in that effort. A recovery workout can be just as hard as training to the best of your ability consistently. That means long runs, speed workouts, lifting weights, core workouts, dieting, and recovery workouts. You're always training in one way or another. You MUST be a student of the sport.

I wasn’t that fast but I ran for a d2 xc program in college. We’d usually do about 6:45s for “recovery.” For me this was often too fast. I could do it, but I did feel it wasn’t optimal for my own recovery. Everyone’s a bit different though (even guys who race the same PRs). I love doing all my recovery runs solo since there’s no pressure to increase the pace if you aren’t feeling it that particular day

It depends on how much bend you give your knee in order to cushion thr impact. Also, some people are more prone to knee injuries than others. As long as you stretch your muscles, you won't have much of a problem.
