When using various types of ratchet straps to secure a load, it is common for the hook to fall off from one side when you move to the other side to take up the strap’s slack. StrapEaze® eliminates that!

No matter what type or duty rating of ratchet strap you use, getting the hook to stay attached while you move to the other side of the load can be challenging.
Most people are familiar with S-Hook, Double J Hook, and Flat Hook ratchet strap end fittings. S-Hooks are usually found on lighter-duty, consumer-grade/recreational strap systems. Double J and Flat Hook end fittings are used on 2” (5 cm) commercial strap systems.
All three types have the same challenge - getting the hook to stay in place until the strap is tensioned. That is, until now. We’ve found a simple, economical, and durable device that keeps the hook end in place, allowing you to move to the other side of the load and get the strap tensioned - with no hassle.
The device has super-strong neodymium magnets molded into it and is shaped so that it can be used with S, Double J, and Flat Hooks. For the S Hook, there is a hole in the middle that the hook is inserted through, and this holds the hook in place as the magnets attach to the haul vehicle’s metal frame. When used with the Double J hook, the StrapEaze® fits in the triangle in the middle of the hook. For a flat hook, there is a slot on the edge that magnetically grips the edge of the hook.
The StrapEaze® works simply by turning the strap ends into magnetic devices. They are durable and will last for a long time. StrapEaze® may be left in place on the hook ends if you so desire, or if you feel more secure, or think someone may help themselves to these handy devices, you can store them in your ratchet strap gear box.
StrapEaze® is made in the U.S.A., and was invented by Troy Padilla. He owns a agricultural supply and feed store in New Mexico, and hauls baled hay regularly on their flatbed semi trailers. Before he invented StrapEaze®, he had the same problem we all do: keeping the hook secure while moving to the other side of the load to tension the strap. Having the hook fall off was a regular occurrence. Troy thought there had to be a better way. What if you could turn the hook magnetic? He utilized industrial strength neodymium magnets and attached them to the hooks, and now securing a load was no longer a two-person job! Neodymium magnets can hold 640 times their own weight, making the strap end stay put while tensioning. StrapEaze® goes along for the ride is as well and is ready to go to work time after time.
You can purchase them for $9.99 a two pack at:

We love these devices and are pleased to tell you about them. We don’t get a commission when you purchase them, we just thought you should know about StrapEaze®! You get a great solution, support small business and an inventor, and support the economy of the U.S. - which is a great thing to do if you live here!
Give them a try - we think you’ll be as pleased as we are!

Seems like a good idea when securing a load by yourself. What few times I've used a ratcheting strap years ago by myself, I seem to remember the frustration of the hook falling off one side before I could secure the load on the other side. Thanks for the video.

Hello Dirt Farmer Jay. Just subscribed last night and today there is a new video. Yay! You did well explaining and showing the new product. My "beef" or complaint has always been with the cheapo strap company(ies) that make a far TOO short hook. Those hooks need to be at least an inch longer and at least a half inch deeper. The Strap Eaze magnet device should be standard on those strap-hooks, but I doubt the strap-hook makers would do it. In the past I have held the first hook in place with either a large rubber band or a small bungy-cord, then walked to the other side of the truck or trailer and fastened that side down almost tight, then back to the first one, remove the bungy-cord and tighten it up.
