the chick.... whole point of the song was about groupies trying to spear or net a great white band member. should be obvious. probably written by Jack as he was reflecting on how crazy these groupies were

It wasn't written as a "pop-rock" song or it wouldn't have been 7 mins long on the album. Shortening the intro for the video takes a lot away from the song, IMO
