I love this song so much. It's much more than just a meme as some people take it. There's actual, beautiful, unforgettable melodies all throughout the song, including the solos. It may be a lot at first, but once you hear it enough times, you just internalize everything. I can sing along to every single twist and turn in the song and even the solos. After you get to that point, hearing it is just as easy as hearing a 3 minute pop song.

I think Judson might appreciate the orchestration in Rhapsody of Fire a bit more but I mean, it will still feel like a lot but at least Turilli is way more classically minded in his playing. Helloween and Gamma Ray are some other candidates where there's some fast stuff but also enough mid-tempo bangers that are far easier to get your head around without doing a line lmao

I'm already rubbing my eyes and ears when Judson comes to listen to the speed heavy power metal of X Japan at some point (be it "Kurenai" last live version, "Rose of Pain" or the epic orchestral prog🥳 "Art of Life" live 1993) I think it would be a Japanese speed power metal band that Judson would really enjoy
