Herman is an animal on guitar, one of the best in the world imo. He's also a good, charitable guy, his vid with TheDooo was special, glad you reacted to that one also. Dragonforce is just power metal through and through, love the band.

I happened to see them live in a smallish venue in Australia about 16 years ago with their original singer (much better in my opoinion). It is still one of my favourite events that I have attended (thanks to a few alcoholic beverages too), they were amazing live . The whole vibe of the concert was good, it went for over 2 hours, and afterwards I got to meet the bassist Fred in the carpark behind the venue. Very nice guy. BUT, if I listen to a cd of theirs, after 2 songs I am well and truly over it and need to change it.

You're welcome ❤ You're referring to Power Metal, but this is a branch called Speed Metal, so if you want a slower pace... 😅 The lead singer in this one is not the original, and I prefer the original lead's delivery. I think you'll like BEAST IN BLACK - Blind And Frozen. Power Metal, slower pace, cool guitars, catchy tune, and a well-produced music video.

They were definitely technically skilled, but it was a bit too frenetic for my tastes. It got a little tiring after a bit. But I'm sure other folks appreciated it more. Even so, I went to their page and posted a like. Pretty awesome in its way.

So sorry but I found it boring, just so chaotic! So they can play scales real fast by using tremolo picking, very technical but no real feeling from it (apart from headache 😂). You should see a young lady who played this called Tina S, Herman saw it and was 🤯. I agree with you, it’s definitely not my thing but I still see him as a great technical musician!
