We are sharing my journey with gender affirming procedures because we want to give a transparent sense of what this process has been like for us. As I state in the video, this is not an endorsement that surgery is something necessary or even good for everyone to undergo. This channel represents my experience and my experience alone, so I don’t claim to speak for other trans people in any way. -Shaye

Shay you were a very handsome man. But you are an absolutely gorgeous woman. Your eyes are even brighter. It’s like your inner beauty and confidence is really coming out. I know this had to take a lot of guts and courage. I applaud you for sharing your life with all of us. And Amanda you are one strong supportive person. You both are beautiful. I’m glad you are sharing your journey with us. A lot of people myself included do not understand a lot of this. But with you being so open honest and vulnerable it is helping us to understand. And I want to thank you for that. I’ve never judged I’ve just always been curious. Like how does one know? What kind emotions are they dealing with? And then most of all I think to myself do they have a support system without being judged. My bonus child I believe is going through this as an adult. My spouse is not supportive. It really bothers me. Watching you has given me some insight of how just maybe I can help them.

Hi! Love your content! I'm 80, just started HRT 4 weeks ago, already feeling better! My skin is softer and less oily, my chest is beginning to "stir". I may never have such surgeries, but the benefits of HRT, I believe, will still be a comfort to me. I may have to depend on a wig and wardrobe to present more feminine, or, at least androgynous! Best of luck to you both! I will subscribe!❤❤❤

I love watching this couple, this is as bold as a person can be, to find their True self, one question I do have is, and Forgive my ignorance or maybe I shouldn't go there, but will voice adjusting be part of the transition to meet the closest possible to that of a Woman voice? Can that be adjusted surgically or is it strictly through personal training and coaching?
@jcoulton4
@jcoulton4 5 ай бұрын
@@Defender78 As with any part of transition, it is entirely up to the individual. I'm not sure how Shaye feels about her voice, but I myself am working towards a more feminine voice. I have been to a speech therapist to help, but it mostly comes down to practice, and trail and error. There are two different surgeries around that area. One is the tracheal shave, which reduces the size of the adam's apple to a feminine standard, but doesn't change the voice. The other is voice feminisation surgery, which hightens the pitch that you speak at. It's important to note though, that even after this surgery, you will need to train it so it won't sound coarse. It's also not uncommon for your total range of pitch to be decreased, unfortunately. Because of this potential risk, as well as the fact that you have to train anyway, it's recommended to put as much effort into training as you can, before jumping to surgery. Personally, I believe that I won't need to vocal surgery. I can get it to where I want it to be, I just can't maintain it yet. So practice will be key (too bad I internally cringe whenever I try...). I do plan on getting the tracheal shave though. While shifting your voice into a higher register actually moves the adam's apple up naturally, and can somewhat hide it, I'm just worried about it being visable when I'm not speaking.
@JadedMuse2
@JadedMuse2 3 ай бұрын
@jcoulton4 From what I've seen/heard, people can most certainly train their voice to a higher pitch. I followed Eden The Doll's journey with that surgery and she was having quite a bit of issues with her voice after her surgery. It seemed really intensive from her videos. I hope all is amazing with everything you have planned. 💕

Amanda, the love you have for Shaye reminds me of my wife. I’m going to be 37 this week and I’ve been with my lovely wife Jordan since 2014. I began my mtf transition in 2022 and day by day I’m just happier and happier. Just HRT and social transition. FFS is something I want but it’s scary too. Thanks for being so open about this journey. I would have understood if she couldn’t do this and left me. She didn’t. Transition is such a beautiful but overwhelming and terrifying process. It would have been so much harder and lonelier without my wife. I love the love you two share. Keep shining your light. You’re both beautiful souls and I look forward to all your new content. Lots of love. 🫶 -Sara

Shaye you are so gorgeous. There is a peace & stillness I get to experience when you speak to us. I'm so happy at the support you have - it wasn't the same for my friend & she died. I'm still a bit haunted by her journey and have educated myself ever since she expressed her intention to transition in 2015. Back then I noticed so much fear arising in my system around her opening up & it did take me several months to catch up & realise 'no big deal'.

Gender dysphoria is a trauma response. Shaye is experiencing a mental health breakdown and our current society doesn't help people find the root of the problem, they join in with the dysphoria. If it were 500 years ago, you would have to face the trauma and deal with the issue that caused the dysphoria in the first place. If we told a bulimic person, "yes, you are so far, you should go throw up again"....that would be insane. No one would do that, but yet, when people have trauma that manifests as gender dysphoria, everyone jumps on board to support the mutilation of people's sacred, divinely given bodies. Our society is drowning in mental health problems. I'm so sorry for whatever you experienced that made you feel unworthy as a male. You were worthy of love, you still are, and you're a child of God.

I also think after he mutilated his genitalia he will be off looking for a man to make him feel womanly. I don’t think his “ project” ends here.. I feel bad for his wife to go with it this far and just being discarded after everything is said and done. I don’t see this …whatever they got going on lasting.

If it were 500 years ago, you'd probably die in childbirth - I don't think we should be looking to the past with approval. Being trans is not a mental health problem - the brains of trans persons show neurological patterns that are consist with the opposite sex. And trans people have always existed - we have no idea of what personal traumas they went through because most people lived and died without leaving any testimony of their existence.

Thank you for sharing your journey with us. I find it fascinating and it is educating me on the things individuals/couples go through when they are "different" from the "norm". However, while I starting watching for education, I find myself coming back and to watch the love between both of you. I see the work that Amanda has had to go through in understanding this change and showing you the unconditional love she has for you and her family. I see the appreciation from Shaye and the need to make sure Amanda is comfortable with every step. It's beautiful to watch and is very apparent in your videos. I pray that you continue to grow and love each and always cherish each other because I put myself in your shoes and although my husband is the love of my life, I think it would be so difficult for me to go though this. In the end, I believe I would, because I can't imagine not having my husband in my life and if this is the only way I could so that he is happy, I would. But it takes a love so grand as the love you both have for each other. Cherish it because it does not come around often.

I totally understand Shaye’s dysphoria when looking in the mirror. I’m recently out as nonbinary and learning the trans-umbrella. I recently got a gender affirming haircut which has been LIFE CHANGING! 😊❤ I had so much dysphoria when looking in the mirror seeing a feminine human when I felt neither. After my haircut I was so euphoric, so I completely understand how important the surgery is to Shaye. I’d love to have top surgery in the future but I live in a state and surrounding area that doesn’t allow gender affirming care. Maybe one day in the future, but until then I can rejoice in watching Shaye’s transition. ❤

Amanda, I can hear (and see) that you’re slowly getting over your cold and sounding much better. Apologies for my comment on your previous video, the cold threw me off and it sounded like you were on the verge of crying at any moment - watery eyes, shaky voice, etc., but it all makes sense now. Regardless, what you’re going through is tough and kudos to both of you for approaching it with empathy, open minds, and willingness to share your journey with the world - God knows we need it. In the name of openness (and perhaps my own personal curiosity), Shaye, I’m quite interested in the specifics of your surgeries. You seem to talk about them quite vaguely - which of course, is completely up to you since it’s your face, your life, and your channel. My sibling is going through this and is considering FFS. If you’d be willing to share, I’m sure the community would be interested to know what you’ve actually had done. I know you said “everything” but what exactly does that entail? Besides the typical ‘male features’ like jawline and browbone reshaping, did you have a nose job, filler/fat transfer or anything else? If your surgeon would be open to this, it would be great to see more footage from your initial consultation, as well as well as from future consultations. I’d personally love to know because you look gorgeous, I’m trying to educate myself on this topic and offer suport/advice to my sibling.

You both are giving such an amazing platform for people of all ages, genders, etc to understand. As a heterosexual female who has zero understanding of what it’s like to be trans, I appreciate hearing from your perspectives!! My mom always made sure I knew to love everyone, especially those who are different from myself. Much love to you both and to your beautiful family!

It's a true gift to not walk alone through the journeys in our lives. Not everyone has the desire to find or even become their desired self. I often find myself in deep thoughts to grapple with the hardest questions that living this life has presented onto me. No easy answers and no easy solutions, but the more true intention has always yelled the outcome that is enough. ❤

Honestly I only heard about top and bottom surgery and never knew about the feminine face surgery. We are evolving daily and it’s good to keep and open mind! You look great and I hope you feel more like yourself now ❤

So crazy to follow your guys journey, as this was us back in like 2001!!! My boy told me, after 5 years, he wasn't a boy. I did NOT take it well at first (it was not nearly accepted then as it is now) but soon after decided i didn't care and just wanted to be with this person no matter how they presented. And almost a quarter of a century later, here we are! A bit different then we'd planned, okay, A LOT different than we planned, 😂 but still deeply, deeply in love! ❤ I couldn't have asked for a more amazing person!

Shaye, you look great to me, the plastic surgeon definitely knows what he is doing. Amanda is so incredibly supportive in helping you both (and us), navigate through these processes. Feeling really confident that all will be well. Question: I was wondering if both of you have thought about taking some courses in meditation Ike TM, it would be fascinating to see what spiritual connections this would add to your souls journey. Thank you for the update Amanda and Shaye, have a safe trip.👍❤️

I do have a question.. if you were not presenting or"dressing"how did you bypass that part to obtain ffs?. Why I ask is I messed up on this and still have no letter yet. I ended up keeping a few of my old clothes for dirty work. Fixing the car etc. Even though I fully dress as myself every, and privately since 8.

Such a beautiful video! ❤Thank you for sharing your journey with the world. Freedom is self-determination. And as you both said, it's for each person to choose what beauty means to them, and what they need to feel good in their own skin.
