No, its not rare. Every judge has to review the case from both sides or else you can’t be a judge. If the plaintiff or the accused is interrupting or being a smart ass, as a judge you CAN rule in favour of the “quiet or well behaved” on. But if both parts is well behaved the judge can’t be bias. A judge will loose the job if he/she doesn’t review or allow all the evidence. I’m sorry for my english. It’s not my first language and it has been 25 years since I graduated 👩🏼🎓🙈😬😄 So please correct my spelling or grammar if it makes no sense 😵💫😆

My childhood was screwed up by the custody court system and by biased judges that either sided with my mom, slept with her, or both. This led to me being sexually and emotionally abused for a DECADE before a cps investigator refused to take her bribe and reported honestly. I love watching Judge Vonda, it's therapeutic as hell

@@nicumarinel From some quick looking up, it seems to be an agreed upon arrangement during the divorce proceedings. It usually doesn't last for life, but it can last for however long both parties agree to or by court order if they cannot agree. With the amount of things this lady had already paid off and was close to paying off, that can actually reduce the amount her ex-husband has to pay rather than qualify her for an increase.

I was kind of amused all the way up to the end when she admitted to have received right after the divorce a "nice piece" of his 401k, "around 250 thousand". She blew 250k in 2 years? What the Hell? That 250k could have been the basis for her own retirement fund. Hell, the average American doesn't have that kind of retirement fund after 30-40 years of work! And in most of the rest of the World? It is on case by case basis and goes for both men and women. it’s usually women who have been accustomed to a certain lifestyle for a considerable amount of time. Women who are financially reliant on their husbands income and have no skills , married for a considerable amount of time, should get this support u till such time where they can support herself or remarries.

A coworker told me about his twin brother's ex wife taking the man back to court for the third time after the couple was divorced asking for more support. The Judge denied it the first two times. He also died it for the third time and warned the woman she'd be paying the man's legal fees if she filed again.

When my ex and I divorced, I initially agreed to $1K a month child support (1 child under 18). After first agreeing, she decided that wasn’t enough. Turns out FL has a formula. Child support ended up $600/month . Later still, she told her lawyer she wanted more. Lawyer asked if she had any documentation. Nope. I had kept meticulous records. I knew her habits from 25+ years of marriage. Only had 3 years of support. Today neither kid wants much to do with her and both are happy living 1300 miles away from her.

In most cases spousal support isn’t awarded. The cases where it is awarded esp in Texas (where JVB is located) the spouse seeking support has to be solely relying on the working partner for financial support.

the problem is some spouses will spend 25 years as the homemaker. When divorced they have no marketable skills (or if they do very outdated). It will take and money to be able to either get retrained and or find a job. I do think 2 years is plenty of time to get retrained and or find a suitable job.

My husband's ex-wife wanted my VA disability money. After agreeing to the payment scheduled we had drafted during recess, she waits until going back in front of the judge and asks to step out again. She didn't know I was sitting in a room while her and her lawyer were in the hallway. I heard her stating she wanted more than what she just agreed to because she knew I was getting lots of money from the VA. Her lawyer told her she couldn't touch my money, and she didn't care because we needed to pay her child support. Some women as so scorned they think they deserve what they want to make up for being divorced.

That’s why these laws exist in the first place. Believe me, I am not interested in marriage myself, but when they’ve been a housewife for years…these people have nothing to show for it in the end. I just finished the video. After receiving a quarter of a million dollars she should have paid off the balance of the house, made sure all bills were current and she had no outstanding debts. After that invest the rest and live on a budget. Never be foolish with your money, especially when you get a large sum like she did.
