Thanks for this video. I’m currently learning how to talk about the weather (as well as how long) and this video was really helpful. I really like how you share the origins of some of the words too.

your lessons are really helful . my question is that is there different between cyprus greek and greek in greece?
@greeklessonsonlinevideos4 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Yes there is a difference in the pronunciation. Cyprus greek have often different endings and words that makes it difficult to understand even for a greek.

Hi Ms 😄 we used the word (Πολύ) and (Πολλή) although it means the same meaning (alot). Is that something related to the Greek cases?
@greeklessonsonlinevideos3 жыл бұрын
Πολύ is an adverb. We put it in front of the verbs or the adjectives. Πολλή is an adjective. We put it in front of the feminine nouns. It is a but tricky sometimes and even the Greeks confuse it!! I will make one lesson about this in the future! :)

Έχει κακοκαιρία/καλοκαίρια;
@greeklessonsonlinevideos4 жыл бұрын
Yes it is correct. We use a lot "έχει κακοκαιρία" but we would choose "έχει καλό καιρό" instead of "έχει καλοκαιρία"
@Savrot3 жыл бұрын
Why does the verb change place in a question? Like in "τι καιρό έχει;" and "έχει καλά καιρό"? The word καιρό jumps from being behind the word to being infront of it. 🤔
@greeklessonsonlinevideos3 жыл бұрын
It is flexible in greek! You can reverse the subject to form a question or leave it as it is! Η Μαρία είναι καλά ; Είναι καλά η Μαρία ;
@Savrot3 жыл бұрын
@@greeklessonsonlinevideos So if i understand this correctly i can say: "τι έχει καιρό;" and "τι καριό έχει;" and both will mean the same thing? If that's the case, is there a difference on how natives understand the sentence? Does one structure or another imply or stress certain things?
@greeklessonsonlinevideos3 жыл бұрын
About the weather the question is fixed Τί καιρό έχει ; Τί καιρό κάνει ; Πώς είναι ο καιρός ;
