Hello Oscar, did you apply for EB2 NIW after your PhD program. Do you recommend to do it in the first years?

Hi Pilar, I did apply two years and a half after I finished my PhD but it is not a requirement as long as meet the overall requirements of the category. I cannot really give you a recommendation one way or the other because it really depends on your profile. You may have a good case even if it is early in your career (or vice versa).

Hi Lucia! OPT is Optional Practical Program, it is a temporary work permit that students on F-1 visa can get after they complete their degree. It gives them temporary permission to work in the US. Typically one year but can be extended for STEM (Science Tech Engineering Math) students. Thanks for watching and writing!

Hi Amaan, I did not need to do this because my degree was from the US but I heard many people have used either WES or IEE. A full course by course analysis is not necessary, you should only need a general equivalence evaluation, stating what US degree is equivalent to yours. Only your highest degree should be needed. You can meet the requirements in pretty much any profession as long as you can prove you have an advanced degree and an endeavor of national interest, substantial merit and you are well positioned.
