So what about Buddhism customer service? I know that sounds really really silly but I actually think it’s genius. Basically what I do is just bump in the people who happen to be awake and I give these little gifts things that I collected over the years items trinkets and then I usually tell them your name or another qualified practitioner, which I am not and I do that every time I do I get their phone number we become friends. It happens all the time and it’s really easy to do.

I got tara transmission (tara) with the old blanket from this dude, but he does dzogchen and ekajati and tells me just to do the stuff and i have to press him for the details and tells me to trust myself, although i am timid some times. (I have an untraditional entrance into vajrayana ig, this stuff entered my life through karma and whatnot and i knew alot of stuff naturally.. this leaves me confused some times) I do have empowerments in a couple other higher tantras from a different lama though. Can I do Tara tantra or should I go press my teacher about this? I dont need to ig, i have a significant practice already, but I was curious.

I have done visualizations/meditations of Green Tara and it is difficult to understand her outside of myself, she is always in me, she is me. She comes in and takes over my body. Can I continue with this or do I need to try to separate from her?

Best not to get holy images tattooed (tons of people do though) it’s considered a bit disrespectful as you’ll be bringing the image into all sorts of activities and places that your wouldn’t bring a statue etc

I have a white Tara empowerment, does that cover all Tara's or does each one need a separate empowerment?

Generally you are only empowered to practice the self generation part of practices that you have the specific empowerment for. Some teachers make a distinction for those with Highest Yoga Tantra to practice anything lower, whether or not there has been a specific "wang" or "jenang" given. For these lower tantra/kriya tantra practices, it is ok for anyone with respect for Buddhism to practice them as long as they don't see themselves as the diety (in this case, Green Tara). So happy practicing!

@VenYonten Thank you for replying. I often see empowerments done via KZbin, are these genuine empowerment? I suspect no as I have usually "felt" different after an in person ritual

@@mandarinlearner If the teacher says it is genuine online, and usually they specify that it be live, then if you follow all the steps as the empowerment ceremony progresses and think strongly that you are engaging with each part, then it can be considered genuine. The most common cases of this procedure online are done by His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Garchen Rinpoche
