Expensive, but after having to do four coats of the cheap stuff one time and STILL not getting the right coverage, I went to SW and never looked back!

When I worked at Home Depot we had bright white lighting. People would look at paint chart in our lighting. Pick a color, paint at home and be unhappy because they used soft white bulbs. The color was different under different color lighting. The truest color bulb is daylight. We built a display of different lighting so they could put the paint chips in to match their lighting at home.

42:02 was hilarious, but watching it at .5 speed is even _more_ hilarious 😂. The "Sea Salt" color is a phenomenal color. Great choice!! And the "Satin Snow" goes perfectly with it. We totally agree about single-wides being a great layout with all the windows. We personally loved the single-wide we had and was probably my favorite home we've had. It had tons of windows that let in so much light. I miss that single-wide!

When you pour out of a container with a spout, the key is to have the spout on TOP. You'll then be pouring across the top of the container, but that's OK. What's happening is you're allowing air in while you're pouring. This avoids the glub, glue. Also as you straighten the container it will stop pouring before it levels out, so it doesn't get across the top of the container (and down the side). Good luck! 😉

At least on video, you've made the room so sparkly clean and fresh the windows are kind of doll from the rain. When Sam does the trim around the windows, you should give him some spray vinegar water for cleaning the windows. Much cheaper than Windex. (That's 50% white vinegar to 50% water, and even cuts the grease!) Your room is a beginning to sparkle guys!!

A tip about the microwave, swap the stove light for an LED when it burns out. The LED will last way longer. Just try to get one that is rated for up to same wattage. The fitment might be slightly off depending on what you get but it should still work.

You have a new property and a "new" home to continue this new phase in your journey of life. We renovated the in law cottage attached to our home and our oldest son moved into the main house. Took us 2 1/2 yrs during plandemic, but we got it done. So glad we didn't have to do all you had to do with gravel, water and electric lines. Whew! You two amaze me! Love your positive attitude. Great choice! When I had to renovate almost my entire house because a tree fell on it, the decorator that helped pick everything out said to use the Sea Salt color and I love it!

I love the Sea Salt on your walls. About three years ago I painted our master bedroom and bath in the Sea Salt also. YOURS turned out like I wanted ours too, but know ours picked up the light blue! Everything looks fantastic. I absolutely love the colors you have chosen and I would use them in a heartbeat and love it all. All new home if you ask me and what you have done has made it as strong and stronger than stick built homes I have seen. Home is where the heart and memories live, no matter how or what it is constructed of. You've have outdone yourselves with all of this and I know you could build anything and do a fantastic job of it. You both have such suitable talents for yourselves and they blend beautifully. Suggestion for your bathroom. Use the sea salt THEN decorate with sunflowers. They will stand out more when the walls aren’t the focus. This will also make your bathroom and bedroom flow together! The kitchen and living room look WONDERFUL! You guys rock and are doing so well! Wish I could help!

Great job on the painting and color selection. Future tip: Since the crown moulding was not installed. You can cut in/trim around the ceiling using a 4" Whizz brand roller. To keep paint off the ceiling when trimming with the roller, use a piece of cardboard to protect the ceiling. Cut a small piece of cardboard 6"wide x 16" - 24" long. Place the piece of cardboard against the ceiling and tight into the inside corner. Then simply move around the room with the small roller in one hand and the cardboard in the other. It goes very fast and it allows you to have a more uniform texture on the wall. For inside corner the Whizz brand 4" rollers have fabric on the one closed end of the roller cover. That allows you to roll inside corners with the same roller you cut in/trimmed the ceiling with.

I'm the same! I love that color on swatches, but my husband see blue undertone, I see green undertone. I hate blue which is why I haven't tried it. BTW, a paint screen & 5 gallon bucket is great when painting a lot. You don't have to try to hit the little paint tray to fill it and you can put the lid on it till ready to paint again. Hubby painted with a professional painter for a while which is how he found out about it.
