Honestly I think it's just the way they see the world - or the way they believe it should be, anyway. Every woman is supposed to pair off with a guy at "her level", so they expect to have a girlfriend/wife guaranteed. Women having standards and their own ideas about what they want is destroying the natural order of things!!! That's why they're attacking any woman showing any independence (and praising that one that's all "girl you need to just settle")
@_jinzis6962 жыл бұрын
Agreed. It’s quite ridiculous that in order to “knock women down a rung”, misogynistic men feel the need to insult their appearances as if it’s their only valuable asset as a woman. In reality, it just shows that these men think that a true woman’s worth is embedded in her beauty.
@Vincisomething2 жыл бұрын
And some of us don't prioritize looks as much as guys like that think we do lol. Looks are important to an extent, but regardless of how attractive you may be, no amount of good looks for me will save you from a horrible personality. That's an automatic negative 10 (on a scale of 5). The opposite is true for being a good person. I met someone who wasn't my usual type (not ugly LOL, just not someone I'd usually go for), but he was so sweet I was basically like, "I guess that's my type now" lol. For "hot" girls that fall for guys that are "less attractive"- many of the time it's other people that think the guy can't reach her league. Unless there are people that actually are attracted to people that they don't find attractive and I'm just weird for not knowing that. And not every girl finds conventional attractiveness their version of attractive lol. Guys like that are just calling themselves ugly and victimizing themselves for it lmao. Like, my guy, even if some girls thought you were ugly, you just proved them right with your putrid personality and being a terrible person. But sure, make yourself feel better by saying the only thing you lack is looks.

@@Vincisomething THIS, I'm not the epitome of beauty, but I recognize that I'm more conventionally attractive than my partner. Just don't be a garbage person, not a "nice guy" but a genuine nice guy.
@kiralonely2 жыл бұрын
@@Vincisomething Just wanted to say, I second like all of what you said, I myself am much more dependent on personality, physical appearance is more a secondary factor, and I only have a few things I consider like unattractive, personally, but they're also not things I necessarily think makes someone ugly, it's just factors that tend to make someone not sexually attractive to ME. I can still find them very aesthetically pleasing to the eye. I think plenty of people are handsome or beautiful or just attractive that I'm not attracted to. Also, as someone who, when it comes to things I do find attractive, which are more like added boosters to my general attraction to someone, they lean very much not the like norm. There are some things, but for the most part, I like, like, for example, I like androgynous folk. People who present androgynous, regardless of gender, or who have androgynous facial features. I find lanky people really attractive. I don't like beards, but I find long hair attractive on guys, and short hair attractive on girls, and any hair or lack thereof attractive on anyone in between. It kinda ties into that androgynous look. I'm punk/goth, so I like folks who aren't shy to embrace their like sexuality and embrace things they're passionate about. Anime shirts? Cool as hell. Platform or combat boots? I'm swooning. You got tattoos, that's hella attractive to me, same with colored hair. Colored hair or piercings or tattoos, or all of the above/any combination is an immediate like x10 booster for me in attraction, but I've also seen a lot of people I find sexually attractive initially who were like shitty in personality, and that attraction immediately faded. I've also had people completely outside of what I find attractive make me swoon just because they're a wonderful person with a really nice smile. (I really like smiles where the gums show a little, or a lot. There's something about it that makes it super endearing to me.) Like, you have a wonderful smile, laughed at all at any of my shitty jokes, and share vague interests with me, along with the basis of not being a shitty person, cool beans, my likelihood of finding you attractive at that point is probably a good like 1/3. Like genuinely, two of the most attractive things a person in general can do, from people of all genders that I've spoken with, is just make someone laugh, be a nice person, have morals that mostly align, even if your politics don't, and be a genuine person. Like, pay attention to the person you're interested in, share common interests, treat them as a friend above all else, far before you consider your feelings or attraction for them, or at least before you allow those to be a goal of your relationship. Out of all the relationships I've seen really work between people, the majority comes from people feeling like their partner is also their best friend. It's kinda sad how many people don't realize how important it is to cultivate a platonic relationship with a potential, or even current, partner.

As an avid frog and art enjoyer, I can say in full confidence this "man's" frogsona has the most unattractive and unappealing design ever created. First of all the face, I can get behind someone stylizing a frog to look masculine, but this looks like someone punched a dent between it's eyes. There's also little to no lineweight in the drawing itself (which emphasizes the dent look), so you're left with big thick lines to show the contour of the muscles (which I know this is a cartoon frog, but it's clear whoever drew this has little to no experience in drawing muscles) being as thick as the outline making it hard to read, and the dots randomly scattered around the body don't help in the slightest. The hat feels drawn in after the fact and the color for it would've been fine but the orange hair (?) next to it makes it way too busy. The alcohol feels like it was drawn separately and lazily pasted in and resized, making its lineart feel foreign to the piece, it also should be sitting in the palm in-front of the fingers not behind them (this makes his hand look backwards) This concludes my critique of the frogsona itself, if I can come up with any more atrocities whoever drew this poor creature, I'll edit this. Edit 1: Nick's frogsona parody is so much better. It has so much more charm and the hat looks like is actually sitting on it's head, the round body/head makes it more appealing to the eyes, the saturation of all the colors is a bit much on the eyes but I'd rather deal with that then whatever that other one is. Edit 2: Why does the frog have a bulge????? Frogs don't have those types of genitals. Edit 3: The webbing on the hands is inconsistent. On the left (holding beer) it's on all the fingers, on the right, it's on only 1 and it doesn't even connect in a way that makes sense. Edit 4: all the lines look like they were drawn with a track pad (speaking from experience), they're so wobbly in a way that only that can emulate. Edit 5: the fact the frog's upper and lower body are of similar musculature is highly inaccurate. Frogs need stronger legs to propel themselves into the air and have little need for muscular arms as their toe pads are efficient at holding them on whatever surface they need to stand on

The good looking, rich, successful alphas get the trophy wife/girlfriend/conquest, women who aren't "a 10" are ~supposed~ to pair off with these guys, like in the good old days, when women knew their place and worried about being unmarried at 25 Trouble is a lot of women (and men thankfully) don't buy into all that, and these guys find themselves snubbed by women with "too-high standards", aka standards. They believe women are supposed to automatically settle for them, no matter how much of an asshole they are, because women need to "find a man" and "settle down". But society's moved on, people expect their partners to be decent people, women have more freedom and financial independence, and these men are pretty much lost because simply "being a man" doesn't guarantee them a partner anymore So they spend their time praying to this idea of a natural hierarchy (oh hey Jorp) and order of things, and trying to bully other people into accepting it. They're all angry and lonely, but instead of working to fix themselves, they try to "fix" society by putting women back in their place, so they won't have a choice but to settle for one of these jackasses

Okay, about the mom group thing: I’m an admin of one, and we’ve DEFINITELY seen each other in lingerie and seen each other’s boobs. Because women tend to be way more comfortable being open that way with each other. Fun fact: my toddler has NO IDEA what I do with my friends 😂 I don’t know what my mom does with her friends, etc. I have private adult conversations with other adult women. My son isn’t involved in ANY WAY. We get time away from our kids, they know that, right?
@kiralonely2 жыл бұрын
As a trans dude, I can say that, while I'm not a mom, women in general tend to be more comfortable with other women because women, er, SA and attack each other far less, physically speaking, and tend to be more understanding of all that stuff. I'm gay, to clarify, so I mean this in a very non-sexual way, but like, I saw a lot of boobs of my friend, family, etc., just because we'd change in the same room or something cause it was just pretty shameless to do that for me. I also grew up with a mother who kinda raised me in a bit of like 3rd wave feminism in the sense of feeling comfortable with your body and not letting society shame you too much for it. It was a big thing. Of course this isn't the case anymore as I'm on HRT and pass as a dude, but it's one of those things that I feel like cis men don't realize. Like, women trust women a lot more than they trust men, because, statistically there's a much higher risk of trusting a man when you're a woman or present as a woman. Also, as others have said, it's so weird people have like hyper-desexualized mothers. My mom was...uncomfortably blunt about her life and stuff, of course one I was old enough to understand and joke about it, and sometimes I wanted to die inside after she made a particularly cringy joke, but it's not because she's a mom, it's because I was a middle schooler and everything is cringy, especially adults doing "teen stuff", regardless of if it's really teen stuff or just like human stuff. I'm actually really thankful she was always open about sex being like natural, and while like The Talk was uncomfortable, it wasn't like...it didn't feel like I couldn't ever reach out to her. Hell, she bought me a back massager to use as a, er, special device, (ironically I was too embarrassed to ever use it.) when I was like, going through puberty especially bad. I inherited her libido, so like, we both kinda vibe on that a bit. (Literally, my libido didn't change on HRT, at least not in intensity.) Mom's and dad's aren't always in mom- and dad-mode. They have me-time too, and do still have lives outside of their children, albeit to a lesser degree than people without, especially depending on how young a kid is, oof. Society's weird, lol. Also like, I may not be a mom, again, but like, I am an adult, and I totally have those kinds of talks with friends ALL THE TIME. We flirt and joke about f**king each other and shit, it's funny and half-hearted and affectionate. It's just platonic intimacy. And that's between teens and young adults. No shit adults, especially ones who have a lot of stress like I did as a kid (in different ways of course) are gonna joke/talk about much more "frivolous" shit. It's called being comfortable and trusting your friend groups and stuff. It's like, hell, to me, that shit is a sign of maturity, that you can joke or talk about things considered "taboo" and no "ooooh" like a bunch of middle schoolers but discuss it like adults or joke about it without making the other parties feel uncomfortable. Sorry for rambling. Societal expectations never fail to get me a bit riled up and I like discussing them. I apologize if I came across as like condescending or malignant, as that wasn't my intention, and if I did, just tell me where and I'll edit it, cause I'd rather know and learn from mistakes than just kinda fumble blindly through life, lmao. Hope you have a lovely day, again, sorry for rambling, it all felt relevant though, lol.

I kind of heard the term before from Watsky's song Stick to Your Guns where a politician urges victims of a school shooting to carry on with vapid mass consumerism by calling them "Chads" and "Stacys." But, I never knew the definition of that term until last summer when, any time I posted on Reddit, the comments section of my posts was filled with people calling me a chad. The general attitude, I learned, was "Healthy, appearance-conscious guys who dress well are such a plague on society because they steal chicks from nice guys" knock it off. These 'nice guys' are just making slang words with definitions so loose that they can fit any person they feel wronged them without needing to explain why. And, these 'chads' they're talking about are either a) guys calling them out for being mysogentsic pigs, or b) guys who respect women.

He is so ludicrous it’s crazy. I don’t know one single woman who would ever approach this man with a ten foot pole. I love your videos Nick, keep up the good work! Love the streams :)

I swear this sounds just like a guy from my middle school that got off on telling girls to "eat grass" and calling them "goats"
