I am also the son of a holocaust survivor . My father was from close to Warsaw , and saw the cattle trucks bringing innocent people into Warsaw . He described the feeling of total helplessness , as no one was able to help , much as the Palestinians must feel . He was taken at 14 , and lived through the hell for two years , then taking another year to get to France , after escaping . He had depression , nightmares and mood swings for the rest of his life . I am from Sephardi bloodline , dating back to the Jews being expelled from Iberia . My D.N.A. is very similar to the Palestinians , who are the Jews that stayed after the Romans destroyed Jerusalem in 70 C.E. Netanyahu , his original surname being Mileikowsky is European , as are many who attack the real Jews . That aside , Jewish law states that you should do no harm , in word or deed to the non Jew .

Many of us have been supporting Palestinians and speaking out against the Israeli occupation and the atrocities and Jewish-supremacist colonialism upon which the very state was founded and built, for many years. And if you think it's "convenient" for a Jew to criticise Israel's behaviour over the past 76 years I'd really like to know what "inconvenient" looks like. I've received death threats, lost work opportunities, and regularly receive harrassment from Israelis for my views. But I'd rather be able to look myself in the eye in the mirror than have my mouth stuffed with shekels like so many of my colleagues have done, with their shameful, complicit silence and unwillingness to offend the delicate sensibilities of our mutual Israeli colleagues. I have no doubt that this man is expressing opinions he has held - and expressed - for many years.
