I have begun crocheting lap blankets for the elders in our local poverty nursing homes. I cry every time I give them one because they cry every time they receive one. They know just by using that blanket in their wheelchair that they are not forgotten by those in the outside world. Thank you for this film of such a sweet and kind-hearted woman.

I’m a knitter too and I love to think of the person I am knitting for, putting loving thoughts into each stitch. When I give them my gift, I tell them to think of it as a loving hug when they wear it. I’m at peace when I knit. It sustains me through bad times and helps me heal. This lovely lady is my role model as I move into my elder years. Thank you!

Hi Denise !! I am 58 and i knit , sew and stitch for years, in France we have an adage which say “ mains occupées, mains heureuses”, i can translate by when you do some work with hands, your life is happier so yes, i feel the same as you. Sometimes i even do again and again what i did because the result doesn’t please me ……😅

I absolutely loved this video!! I just showed my daughter and she said, "she's just like you." I am a knitter as well and was taught by my Gram when I was a little tiny girl and I knit everyday! I adore giving my knitting to people I meet or nurses or anyone who I feel needs these special gifts from my heart. Their smile is my gift, just like her. I'm older now and I still knit. I never leave the house without it. I agree with her, don't ever take my needles from me lol. My whole life I have created, it's who I am. My room, everywhere you look has yarn lol. My Granddaughter says my room is yarnsulated, haha. I am never ever bored either...ever lol. I love every minute I am here!! God bless this dear woman...❤
