Doing anything is going too far, Australia doesn't need a ministry of Truth and that's what this will lead to. Consider those "Voluntary" Digital ID's for instance, you're going to need those to access social media in the future and perhaps a lot more, consider the "e-safety Commissioner" who used to only be the "Children's e-safety commissioner". Scams are already illegal and have nothing to do with these new laws at all.
