What is a 'lean mix'? I assume that it's something like a 4:2:1 mix that is used in preference to MOT type 1?
@GreentopLandscapes3 жыл бұрын
Lean concrete mixes is a concrete mix with low cement content and high percentages of aggregates, it is used in several works such as the blinding concrete under foundations and as leveling course below footings or in mass concrete such as dams. Lean Concrete - Base hope this helps Keith

Great vid mate! Lovely job. Been on porcelain all week! Tiles though ;) I use nothing but Mapei products on my bathroom refits. Keraquick is the daddy of adhesives. Question matey....As you're obviously getting 100% contact on the beds same as with tiling could you not use a levelling system like Raimondi? Would make getting zero lippage a lot easier.

Thanks for the tip! I think Lee the self levelling system does create a gap under the unit the Jury is still out on this one, thanks for the message mate.
@leerolfe53324 жыл бұрын
Greentop Landscapes & Design yeah the back butter or slurry would have to be wet still on the back of the slab and the bed would defo have to be loose to accommodate the small 1mm etc raise. It must be used though as they have the breakable clips going up to like 20mm for thicker tiles/slabs. Raimondi are expensive tho. Try the genesis system on the shelf at CTD Cardiff. Picking up 700 tomorrow funnily enough. 👍😉
