Your ocean content has become low-key exposure therapy. I can get maybe halfway through though, and everything in me says 'nope, that's it, shut it all down'. Doctors are watching him 24/7 to make sure he doesnt try to remove the water in his body, repeating “the water removal of 2014” where he almost died. His current room is a padded greenscreen cell. He is currently strapped down explaining the inability to see his torso. He makes these videos for exposure therapy and because it distracts him from the fact that he is 70% water) Just thought I would drop sum Greg lore for yall 🤗🤗🤗🤗

I think I have thalassophobia because earlier last year I went kayaking with my family. In the middle of the lake I thought it would be fun to pickup a stick floating on the water and throw it. When I threw it I immediately flipped the kayak and fell into the water. And eventually swam over to a floating tree branch covered in spiders to get myself back on the kayak.
@handitover.10 ай бұрын
those spiders were in the same situation as you lmao

Idk that sounds normal if that was me I'd have a full on panic attack even though I can swim just fine. I freeze and tense up badly if I can't see or touch the ground in water I can't Cleary so chances are if i fell off a boat or ship id probably die from freaking out thats how bad it is 😬 but I love the water lol

11:09 its called a dead head (something similar at least) and its basically a log that's been waterlogged to the point its only just buoyant enough that the smallest end sticks above the water while the rest is hidden under the waves. They can get pretty big too, full on trees can end up like this and they're pretty dangerous. The video after is a tsunami, its not like the super bad ones that happen after earthquakes, landslides, or explosions (volcanic or otherwise) but you can see how the water retreated from the beach before it came back, that's why it swamped those cars, I would bet the water is normally at that concrete platform. Remember if you are on the beach and the ocean starts retreating, head inland and get to higher ground fast. These people where lucky that this was a small tsunami and was slow enough they could out run it. Had they been on the shore and a large tsunami hit, well lets just say 2004 showed us what would happen.

Of that video at 11:34 brings back this awful memory of walking the Mission boardwalk in San Diego at night. Turns out nothing was actually happening but my god it was an awful 5 minutes of my life.

I've snorkeled in the rain before and it's a bit frustrating. You go under to look at the sea-life but then rain is getting in your snorkle and you can't breathe so you have to go back up and empty out your snorkle while gasping for air, but oops, you gasp for air at the wrong time and the waves go into your mouth and nose and now you're choking on water and it's that repetetive process over and over. Snorkeling is great, but i don't recomend doing it while it's raining, it's mad annoying.

A little bit late but I have to say it anyways! When I was on a sail ship for an entire month we had to stand watch for stuff, and we were told that we MIGHT come across some containers, the chance is low but you never know! In the day it would have been easy to spot them if the sea was as calm as it was, but in the night? I remember standing at the bow between 2-4 am, looking out.. Seeing basically nothing except the dim green top lantern. And my worst fear while being out there is seeing a container slowly pass by under the dim lanterns. You never know what might have happened if you see that. Did a ship just loose it or has there been an accident where the ship has sunk? It was terrifying! But luckily none of us saw that and the crew told us that all their years sailing on the ship they have never seen containers in the water. But we may never know, they might be there lurking just beneath the waves.... However we were also told that most containers today have a "sinking trap" So the second it makes contact with water it will sink. Anyways! Great video

I live on the south shore of Long Island and my house got flooded bad in hurricane Sandy and we stayed in the house as it happened. We got at least 5 feet in the garage because the car got completely submerged(and it was raised on cinder blocks) and 2 feet in our house, enough to ruin all our furniture. While our house was getting flooded and we were trudging through the water trying to save all our stuff, there were boats that flooded out of the boat yard riding into our yard almost hitting our house and all kinds of crazy stuff floating through the water. The scariest part was at night because the water got into our electrical box and it started smoking. We huddled upstairs so we wouldn’t get electrocuted and we called to the fire department and they basically told us we were screwed because the trucks couldn’t get to us cause of the water. 3 other houses on my block actually burned down that night for that reason but ours just short circuited and our electricity went out. I got tons of video from that night of everything and the aftermath of the neighborhood the next day. We learned that day that it was a bad idea to live on the water. We got our house raised through this government program, it took a year total of living in hotels until the house was fixed and raised and some of the people on my street never got their houses fixed and they’re still destroyed and abandoned to this day. I was never scared of water before but this experience was pretty traumatic lol
