Never thought about the lack of input that Macdonald had in personnel due to the late hire and other priorities after he got here. This off-season should be very informative as the roster gets shuffled in order to fulfill his vision. GO HAWKS!

I agree with so much of what Mr. Bell says. Looking ahead, we absolutely must correct the OL.

Thanks Amy! Glad you enjoyed this show. Yeah, Gregg always gives a great perspective and definitely has given me more to think about when it comes to this staff.

Interesting hearing a voice of reason rather than the uniformed opinions of couch coaches and impatient fans. I really don't understand why people expect immediate success when changes are made? As Gregg pointed out, this new coaching staff is very inexperienced, which realistically they will need time to gain experience. Like everyone, I'm frustrated with the offensive performance, especially the short yardage goal line situations. But I'm also aware of the lack of real quality on the O line especially the interior and said from the beginning how they perform will determine how successful this team will be. Grubb is certainly under the microscope and there needs to be improvement to finish the season. From what I've seen from MM, I'll be surprised if Grubb is gone at the end of the season unless the last few games are woeful offensively. MM comes across as someone who would consider himself a failure in not getting Grubb to the level required. He was aware of Grubb's lack of experience and knows you only gain experience with time. Will be interesting to see how the season plays out and then the off season. The most successful organisations tend to have continuity and I think this coaching staff can be really successful given time and the opportunity to build their team 👍

Grubb’s #1 should be getting the line to run block and pass pro better. Design shorter routes to get Geno to throw quicker. Give him check downs. No more running around and taking sacks.

Big disagree w/ bell on hiring Grubb for multiple years. He knows as well as anoyone that if his offense was humming teams would come calling on him to be a HC. At least it's always a potential with a defensive head coach and vice versa. He wants to throw deep. Great. But the team can't so his job is to design an offense that maximizes what the team CAN do.

This is AMERICA. It's called freedom of f-cking speech. And for your information, Grubb sucks. Our offensive DVOA is literally the worse in the league right now. That's even worse than Waldrons offense from last year.

Why? If grubb can't show anything then he should go. So far he hasn't. Plus Bryce got a guest who is very pro Grubb. Should he lie and tell you everything is awesome when it's not? Maybe make excuses about the oline when John has never built an oline on his own. Just say "build detroit's oline," except it took them four years to do that and no one is at sewell or ragnow's level so we start at zero. The offense in a crazy twist might hold back the team from being competitive in the playoffs.
