This song takes me back to the 70s. I pretty much fell in love with this song from the first note. You MUST check this one out. Great band!
Welcome to my “Modern Life for the 70's Mind” KZbin Channel. On this channel, I not only take a look at the songs and history that made us who we are today, but also introduce you to today's modern music as well. Any songs that combine the two are always a winner. I've always loved music and have always tried to keep a balance between the classic music I fell in love with and today's MUCH DIFFERENT sounds. Here's we'll analyze both. We’ll even take some time and revisit some of the old parts of our past that have disappeared from today’s shelves and most people’s memories, I call it Bob's Cabinet of Curiosity. Let’s relive those moments together! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking time out of your day to check in. I appreciate it more than I can say here.

The battle at gardens gate is the newest album and is fantastic! Stardust Chords is my pick. Love this band! Yes they write all their songs. The singer writes the lyrics. The singer and guitarist are identical twins and bassist is a younger brother with the drummer a school friend. They started in high school from Frankenmuth MI. Around 2012.

Welcome Back, glad to hear you got the clean bill of health. Love the Halestorm intro. First time I heard this debut single on the radio, I thought it was Zeppelin at first. Yes, they are kids, 21 and 18 when this was released in 2017. Three of the 4 are brothers, twins Josh(vocals), and Jake(guitar), and younger brother Sam (bass/keyboards). They are on tour now , and will be one of the opening bands when Metallica plays here (Highmark stadium, Buffalo Bills home) in August. If you want another , try When the Curtain Falls.

Great reaction! I love this group! I look at it this way. I like that they sound like Led Zeppelin! We get new music with the Led Zeppelin sound. My first real band experience was Led Zeppelin and to see that music continue after 35+ years is awesome! I love their newer sound also!

I'm 61 and really enjoy Gretta van Fleet. It's nice to hear young guys playing my type of music. Listen to some more of their music. They definitely have their own sound. Every band builds on the foundation of those that came before them. I can hear Led Zeppelin/Rush and a few more influences of the past Legends in their music. Great reaction! I'm a new subscriber from Vancouver BC Canada.

First time in your channel and I really enjoyed your reaction and humor! Congrats on your good health, by the way :) To answer your question, Greta Van Fleet does write all their own music. I would highly recommened checking out their latest album, The Battle at Gardens Gate, released in 2021. They've matured in their sound since the first album in 2017 and have made more of their own sound. "Light my Love" and "Barbarians" are probably my two favorites. "Trip the light fantastic" is amazing as well and has a likeness to Rush. But hell, who am I kidding...every track is great. Hope you enjoy more GVF and post more reactions to them in the future!

They do write their own material. Some of the better rock songs they've put out that are Zeppelinisk are: When the Curtain Falls, Safari Song, Flower Power, Black Smoke Rising, You're the One, & Lover, Leaver (Taker, Believer). Initially they did come off sounding a lot like LZ and that's not a bad thing when done right. As they've developed though, they've grown into a style of their own and do have tones of Getty Lee & Freddie Mercury, and Brian Johnson (AC/DC) You would also probably like a band called the Rival Sons who have that blues/rock 60s & 70s sound as well.

Just checked to see if you have since bothered to look/listen to newer Grata Van Fleet recordings -just to answer some of your own question about their progression since this 5 year old release. We die hard GVF fans know the answers but, the premise of this type of channel is to bring 'new thoughts/ideas' about music out there to your viewers. Premiering a video that is 5 years old and speculating on their future when it's already happened is unfair to people who came to hear your review on a band they don't know. Seems like it's just a way to keep the now out of date Zeplin comparison alive and an easy review to say the same old things from the past. Lots of people gave you other options and update info about the band in the comments so, I really wanted to see an updated review of them and was kind of disappointed -so won't be subscribing.

Sorry Donna. I get literally "hundreds" of requests and it gets difficult/impossible to get to each and every one. They are still on the list and I will get to them again. Your negative and defensive tones are really unnecessary though, Donna, especially since I enjoyed them so much and gave them a positive review. I'm not sure how you expect me to nail every point and detail about this band when I've literally only heard one song from them and really knew next to nothing about them. I'm also not quite sure why you're so defensive when it comes to this band, but your curt comments directed towards me just aren't necessary. I do my best on these reactions, but please remember that I do this for FUN. Unfortunately, it takes some of the fun out of what I do here when people like you take things personally and toss out negative or degrading comments that just aren't necessary. Yes, I will get to another of theirs. Sorry you won't be subscribing, but I guess that's the way it goes. I hope you have a good day...and smile.
