I bought a new Speedy Moon from an AD in WashingtonDC. We'll call him J.G. owner of C.J. He was the recommended dealer at WatchUseek at that time. The watch came with a slight defect under the lens. The inner black ring didn't lay flat at 6:00. I called him as soon as I opened it. He told me to take the strap off and mail it to Swatch in NJ. Thanks alot AD. So,yeah. I'd take my chances at Jomashop, or Amazon, or even Ebay. PayPal or Amex for protection.

One thing about Gray Market. With a lot of brands, you don't get a factory warranty. They withhold the warranty cards, or you get them unsigned or unstamped. Omega for one. Also, reading through the forums, you see a lot of comments about people receiving watches the look tampered with. Like they may have been store returns, blems of factory seconds. Still new, but not quite perfect.

Man, I LOVE your channel. I've purchased a Hamilton shitter-beater (which I love) from Joma. Transaction was fine. But I'm currently shoe-boxing for an Oyster P 39 & don't know if I can go grey market for that one. HATE boxes and wish they had no effect on value (box&papers). A watch fits into a small space in your drawer. But the damn boxes I feel obliged to keep take up space and are typically overwrought as though they are the reason I bought. Imagine if you bought a new car and had to keep the phuvking box it came in. Put the money into the watch - not the packaging...Sick of storing all this superfluous frou-frou wrapping...Remember "rugged"? Think of all the wanna be 'sportsman' with their diver watches worried about the paper packaging. Pathetic male of today.

YESS!! God damned boxes. They should just put them in clear plastic Timex display boxes. You can store them on a shelf or on a dresser and still see and appreciate them while still being protected. The way I have it now. My watches are laying loose all over the top of my dresser, and an entire drawer full of stupid empty boxes. "So why don't you just keep you watches in their boxes?" Because they'd be out of sight and out of mind. I'd never where them. I'd never even see them. That's no way to appreciate something. Some of those cheesy Invicta watches come in their own suitcases! Fuck, should I store them in my attic with the rest of my luggage?

Throw it away then. But I wouldn't pay the same price for a watch without a box compared to a watch with complete box and papers. Nobody (except you, apparently) would want to buy a $5000 NEW watch that came with no box.

Sell the boxes and papers online to someone without then bud, I personally keep my stuff in the box that it comes in to keep it dust free and display the boxes on shelves in my gameroom, but to each his own ya know?

I had an issue with savingwatch on amazon. Which is linked with jomashop. Resume. 1. My girlfriend bought me a tissot heritage. On watch saving amazon. Received the box an EMPTY BOX at 1.6 lbs with the same packaging same from and to of the shipping adress. 2. I bought a lady open heart tissot to jomashop. I received the watch at 1.7lbs same packaging same adress from jomashop and watch saving. At first when I receive the first package I though it was my lady heart for my gf so I have called jomashop to tell them the box was empty. After comparing the tracking number I have realise my mistake. that were things became interesting. First jomashop told me they werent linked to watchsaving. But at the same adress. I was ok could happen but when i have receive the watch from jomashop it was the same packaging same as watchsaving. So i did some research and discovered watchsaving was registered under jomashop name (make sense) but jomaahop totally denied they were linked. After a while they admit they share the same customer service. They started to denied they have sended me a empty box the math dosent lie and they haven investigate enough. They refund my girlfriend when amazon get involve. One the refund done I told them I had pay the import and taxes for the empty box and I would like to be refund for that too. And they told me remove your bad review first if not we wont refund you WTF!!! Its how they deal their stuff. Its sad because i got a seiko 5 and the tissot lady without issue. Shame they treath their customer about their freedom of speech.

Jomashop is no different from other grey market dealers. AD's can screw you over too but they have the brand itself to answer to if they do.

Bought a piece from Joma they said was "in stock". Several weeks on still no watch nor tracking info. I notified them and they would not refund and they stopped answering their phone or responding to emails. I had to have the credit card charges reversed. Also Joma does not sell any watches with the factory warranty included which is huge considering Rolex AD provides you with 5 years of warranty coverage. I believe most of their watches are sourced demos or otherwise secondary market. Extremely seedy people.

Had some issues with Jomashop once. But they refunded once they recieved the item. Since then, no problem whatsoever. Bought Tissot/Seiko. I will not recommend brands like Lucien Piccard or Swiss Legend from them.

I'm not sure why this guy keeps saying "you're going to save $2000." Don't almost all AD's give discounts? I recently purchased a speedy on a metal bracelet with the new full presentation for $10 more than Jomashop is currently selling them for. Also no shipping costs and you get to walk out of the store with a new watch on your wrist. Maybe I got lucky with my AD, maybe I was just friendly, but for $10 I'd go with a proper AD.

I purchased a few watches from them. They sent me a watch, no tags. Sent an email, resolved. I didn't wear it of course. Got another watch from them, the description features, didn't match, when I received it. Sent an email, returned, resolved. I use PayPal and they are on the customer's side. Joma ISN'T perfect, BUT will work to resolve. Bought another watch from them, found it at a lower price elsewhere, sent an email, they matched the price.

I think they have great deals on their website and what's reassuring is that they've been in the market for quite some time and I'm sure they have a reputation to maintain and let's say there is a problem with a purchase I'm sure they will be accommodating so don't see any issues

of course you completely understand but the thing you do not understand jomashop do not fix things, they asking you to send it back insured (at your cost) plus they do not refund the delivery price even it's free shipping and it is $40, plus there's no guarantee they accept the returned item too, and if the item is over $4000 they keep the 8% even the item they sent you is defective, did you know this and did you get it now Archie? I, here in Canada, have recently bought several watches from Jomashop, and received two more as gifts, and I’m happy. All arrived fine. All were as advertised. Genuine and new and in the right box.

I think the main reason for the over-reaction by the forum poster in question had against Jomashop concerning the Speedmaster was because of cost sensitivity. To some, $3000 for a watch is a lot of money, and when expectations aren't met when you open up the box, you'll go into panic mode and think the worst has happened to you. Myself, $3000 wouldn't be enough to set me off into panic mode, but $10,000 sure would!!!!! Best to make that 1-800 phone call to the seller and ensure they are sending you everything you are expecting.

Jomashop stole $700 from me. They claim they have "no hassle" return policy but don't tell you of the outrageous restock fee. They don't have watches, they just broker watches from their authorized dealer sources. Lots of horror stories in the forums. Also, due to the number of reviews and the timing in which they are posted, I believe Jomashop uses paid reviews to counteract the negative reviews. This practice is not just unethical - it's illegal.

pyootchnich Restock fees are necessary in today's world. They keep people from buying, wearing for an event, vacation etc., and sending back for full refund. 15-20% is the norm. Heck, even Home Depot does this with tools. If I owned a shop, I would too. Too many dishonest/dumb people.

If you want headphones that sound great for and I pod or MP# player or CD player for old school guys you need to check out these two headsets by KOSS. Sennheiser! And I had a pair of them awful headphones and now I have a Vintage pair of vintage Stanton Dynaphase Sixty DJ headphones and a headphone amplifier and they are awesome so good. If you have a good watch repair guy and it's a name brand older watch or even an HMT as long it's not an expensive brand the repair cost won't be so bad! He fixed my HMT for $20 usd it was just dirty and needed cleaning and calibration, and my Russian Raketa just needed the same thing those are way tougher than those more expensive watches

You would have to think the stories you hear about faulty rolex watches that get returned to ad's end up on the grey market. Like the guy who bought a milgauss that he had to tap to start after he wound it and there is so many more stories even youtube reviewers getting bad rolexes. I would feel better about buying a watch from joma you know didn't sell well for any number of reasons like less popular colors and such. But a rolex especially a popular model. Your chances of getting a problem watch is getting higher. I want to buy a hublot from joma . I'm Obsessed with those shitters. I love the design. They build watches like I build tube amps.

Happy Jomashop customer for many years now. My go to watch dealer... amazing selection, whether hard to find or latest models. Usually THE lowest prices with No tax, and EASY credit from Affirm! It's so much nicer to be able to buy new for the price of used. They are highly automated like the Amazon of watches. But everything usually goes well and the merchandise is top rate. I understand they use a mix of in house and drop ship from other Jewelers. It appears they buy direct from the distributor for all the common stuff. Usually comes in the original box with papers, but without the original warranty card. But they substitute it for a Jomashop 2yr. card. I've used it only once on a $1600 Frederique Constant Manufacture watch that stopped after 6mos. They turned it around in 3 weeks, but weren't able to fix the problem. Then they stonewalled me. Ended up fixing myself locally for $300. But, to be honest it was a complicated watch. But hat was only problem I've had out of many purchases.

I bought a speedmaster and seamaster form them. No issues. Everything came as expected minus the seamaster bracelete was a little fucked up in how the links moved.
